Just get pregnant! Instant boobs. Isn't that why every woman gets pregnant/every guy knocks his lady-friend up? Bewbs.

Planning a smaller-scale event and having it be AMAZING. And way less stress. People really make all the difference
I'd still be pissed. We have emotions. They're okay to have. Especially after something like that, even if it is after the fact. Betrayal is betrayal. You can have the noble feelings later, after the anger wears off.

Getting the chance to do something so risky it might end up killing my character, but it's something of my own choice and I am so thrilled. If he makes it? Awesome. If not? Also awesome.
It's going to be fiiiiiiiiiine... maybe.

@VulgarKitten Well, the perception on my part is that you saw an opportunity to pick on someone you clearly don't like for reasons you've clearly been holding onto for a while. I could absolutely be wrong, but those airs are fairly palpable.
If I was looking for an opportunity to do that, it could have been done many times over before now. I saw something hypocritical (to me) and I called bullshit. I would do that to people I like, too. And again, I'll point out the fact that I didn't bring up the reasons I dislike her until she herself went on the attack over that stuff.
Your assumption is like me saying, gee Shlappy, you clearly do like her and you saw an opportunity to pick on someone who clearly doesn't out of loyalty to your friend. I could absolutely be wrong, but those airs are fairly palpable.
Maybe it's different when you only have one kid. I hate when mine goes away. I miss the little monkey. Also, there is one less reason not to study.

It's better to simply be aware of the opening internally and open it to someone when they appear on your radar as good matches for it.
Conversely, when you do that, players will get butt-hurt anyway when they see the position has been filled, for any number of different reasons. I was given a prop leadership on a game about a year into playing there, and was immediately met with 'zomg but I've been here longer' flak from some other player who wasn't involved with the prop, but had hoped to marry into it, so I understand.
Basically, people will complain no matter what you do, so you might as well do what you personally prefer.
Mine's only 6 and she's a good kid. But I am also an overattached mother.
there's a fastplay option that lets you play without chargenning. you start as an amnesiac and can explore the grid that way and make in character connections and build your sheet/understanding that way.

So Tolkien. Fair enough.
As if there's anything better.

Two weeks of bloody 90-100 degree heat. And it's not even July yet.
I didn't move to the northwest coast to live in hot. I came for 300 days of rain and wearing shorts in 60 degree weather.
Augh. Yes.
I'm afraid to look at the weather forecasts. The last time I did it said it would be 102 degrees in freaking Oregon. >_< Grr.
Make it stop. Somebody make it stop. It's so hot outside I'm considering walking around naked and blaming it on bath salts.
@Luna I keep telling you that you should

That said, I know I personally have been falling short on my job and ST duties. It has nothing to do with other games, and everything to do with big changes to my real life situation. Should settle down soon, and I'll be back at it!
I read that as TS duties. YEAH you have!
@Cobaltasaurus I suppose that means I should put my clothes back on.

@Arkandel I tend to get a lot of OOC pages about moving the scene away from the current venue the moment a police character arrives. Webb, was it? There was a character who was a cop/hunter with a large dog. I'd be in scenes with changelings, werewolves, and shifters, and Webb would walk into the coffee house or whatever with his dog to BUY COFFEE AND DONUTS and the players would freak the fuck out in pages like he was the fun police. Me? I roleplayed with the guy, because even though my character knew he was an IC cop, was doing nothing illegal and it's okay to be sociable with cops.
Sidenote: Webb was a great player and was always really good about working around the supernatural angle and communicating OOC to find the ideal solution for everybody, from my experience.
That's exactly what gel is for! As soon as you cure that top coat under the light for 45 seconds, your nail polish is hard as a rock and good to go. You can touch crap, do dishes, whatevs. It's amazeballs.
He IS a shiny thing!
