The Daily Mail, natch! Well, clearly you've thought this out and you weren't just being smug and racist. Carry on!

I was talking about the most recent thread where this happened. Not the entire history of the MSB.

RE: RL Anger
Is what the guy is or is not relevant? If Mietze doesn't want the attention, and doesn't want to talk to him/catch up/entertain his attention at all, that's her choice.
She doesn't even need a reason. She has them, but she doesn't need them. If someone doesn't want to talk with you or interact with you on a personal level, you 'not being the devil' doesn't mean they should, anyway.

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@deadculture hence my confusion at this topic being a thing.
It seems almost designed - or destined, whatever - to be nothing but argument about labels and who is the most OPPRESSED.

RE: RL Anger
The conversation was fine until @derp jumped in and started mansplaining about..how to adult? I don't even know. Because he is a moron, I am taunting him. A, because it's fun for me. B, because who knows? Maybe someday he will 'listen' to himself with a critical 'ear' and have an epiphany.
Doubtful, but hey - there are two sides to every story. Now, if @mietze asked me to stfu about it, I would! It's not a joke, for all that I'm having some fun with the dumb.
It's fucked up and disconcerting when people spring pressure-heavy situations and discussion on you, and doubly so when you don't know them and they are doing so dishonestly. And then when you complain about it, you get the joy of having adult responsibilities explained to you by a moron.
It's hard out here for a bitch.

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@arkandel Wait, so this is meant to be a discussion about dogpiling, now?
I mean, it's a message forum, where things are written out, and not in real time. How are you going to stop 'dogpiling' in a way that isn't 'only X number of people may give their opinion on any topic/post"?

RE: RL Anger
I wasn't championing a cause, and the only one I have championed here is feminism/gender equality. If me being antagonistic to some dorks on an internet message board is damaging to FEMINISM then crap, maybe women don't deserve equal rights.
But why not just say you find my attitude or demeanor distasteful? I mean, you have. Repeat it, for better accuracy? Or, I don't know, just ignore me. You don't get me, probably don't want to, and that's fine. You have not even correctly guessed at what I'm doing here - specifically here, in this thread!
But you're right, I am being very hard to dialogue with. On purpose. With forethought.

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@ganymede Now, how to convince people who think they are just giving their (as valid as anyone else's) input on something that they are maliciously dogpiling?

RE: Good TV
@Roz I'm not making fun of her plastic surgery, I just happen to disagree. I don't actually think she's great on the show. The role works for her because it's so deadpan, but being able to make facial expressions is pretty important to acting.

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@deadculture ok that's like a nosedive down a slippery slope there, cowboy. Maybe pump the brakes.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Ganymede Punisher and Luke Cage coming, too! Netflix and Marvel are my new favorite power couple.

RE: Historical settings
@faraday I mean there many ways. There's speculative fiction, historical fantasy, alt history...I am just not sure any of them are a GREAT idea when you are introducing a wide swath of rando players.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
God almighty, Hollywood. It is 2016, cast a fucking Asian to play out Asian tropes. I mean, that's the absolute least you can do.

objectively, 100% - discrimination is bad. If you are taking part in it, you are doing a bad thing and deserve the corrective heat that comes your way for it.
But this is fiction we're talking about. Do you really think that whoever wrote Schindler's List is a terrible human being because they had some historically-appropriate bad guys in it doing bad things?
Not even remotely. But I think straight up comparing a work of fiction to interactive fiction where there are multiple people taking part and playing single characters and investing emotion into those singular arcs is a false equivalence.
It is absolutely not the same thing.

The new Star Wars movies seem to work really well - and they are led by ladies. Ray isn't a great heroine, she's a great character, and I can't wait to watch Rogue One when it comes out. Would I have liked a kick-ass Jedi guy spinning lightsabers? Sure, I watched Anakin do it for two movies and it was kind of blah, not because he wasn't male enough but because those films sucked. Conversely I can't bear to watch Aeon Flux or Resident Evil, but that's not because females star as action heroes in those, it's because they were horrible!
Why did you have to remind me Aeon Flux was a thing? Dear god, that movie was the cinematic equivalent of a Greyhound station bathroom in Amarillo, Texas.
Have you actually been to the bus station in Amarillo, TX? Because I have. This made me lol.

In my opinion and experience a good player can make just about any character type highly appealing.
and having a dick never hurts

RE: Good TV
So I don't know if anyone here cares for AMC comic drama a la the Walking Dead, but...I am kind of pumped for Preacher.

@DnvnQuinn
Huh, I was exactly the opposite. I liked Batman, and Bruce Wayne, and ESPECIALLY Alfred (omg Jeremy Irons), but got really tired of "Superman Reads Mean Tweets".Mad respect to Lois Lane for continuing to live her life and get shit done even with a big mopey boyfriend bullet zooming in and out of her life.
