I'm about 2/3 through it too and man, it's p good so far. This take on the punisher is so modern and hard to look at and yet very human and sad. A lot of good performances and a lot of secondary characters I am also just heartbroken over.
I never saw Kate cheat while she was a staffer, and can't speak to what happened before I played Firan. I feel confident she didn't. What I did see was a lack of awareness/interest in the fun and enjoyment of the people around her, and a really intense level of mean girl nastiness. If she's grown as a person and left that behind, great. But that's the kind of thing that needs demonstration more than stating.
It's true that Firan brought out the worst in a lot of otherwise decent people.
@arkandel I mean he's also a boozed out sexual harasser so maybe he rightly wants to lay low for awhile and wallow in that knowledge about himself. Ben Affleck, that is.

But it isn't okay, is it? Because if a player is doing this stuff to one person...they are probably doing it to others, too. Like, yes you should strive for comfort and understanding but at the same time the staff's job is to do the best they can for the players. That means protecting them from known shitlord elements.

I think JLA was doomed to be that, as @sparks said. I'll still see it - I'm one of the few that kind of enjoyed Batman V Superman, and I LOVED Wonder Woman. But they changed tack too late in the game, when I heard they were doing reshoots to try and give it a lighter feel.
Also fuck Brett Ratner and fuck changing the costumes of the Amazons to be skimpier. I'll still see this. Probably. Maybe.
@ganymede can confirm. I've never had someone I talk to about these accusations show me a conflicting log. More often, they immediately so "Oh, about SO AND SO? No no, we're friends."
No one has sexually harassed me online in years and years, so my advice is to be acerbic and unfriendly.
Also, if you want to play an IC bigot, you should really not be taking it personally when other characters confront or disagree with yours. I believe you should probably not be rping about anything that has you upset OOC, but this is just common sense.
If you are going to do a thing IC, don't take it as an OOC insult or problem when other people have their characters react with IC distaste or disapproval.
@wizz I am not upset. I'm home from the clinic, sipping a mocha, and snerking at this. As an admin, when someone brings up a problem and you don't address the problem, instead changing the subject to the way they are expressing themselves*, you are being a bonehead.
*exception being, if they are cursing you out or calling you nasty names or something. Ain't nobody got time to be dealing with that.

What is there to discuss? This is a community with a lot of suspicion of "well we are discussing it amongst ourselves, as staff". For good reason - look at the UH fiasco.
I respect Gany because when they step out of line, they own it and walk it back. Auspice needs to do that. If Auspice won't do that, maaaaybe Auspice doesn't need MSB authority. This whole "we are working to address it in private and shall say nothing public about it" like you're under an NDA isn't doing you guys or this situation any favors.
