Yeah, that's weird. I can guarantee it wasn't a "lol fuck fans and all these randos who wrote this stuff". It was "do we want to go through the logistical nightmare of trying to put together and honor a timeline set out by dozens of different authors, or do we want to stick with the basics and do our own thing from there with some room for fresh creativity". I'm sorry, I'm not intending to point out anyone as an example, but what I said wasn't about feeling good about being staffers and building a game with care and deliberation. Do it that way, sure, whatever, but that's not the direction I was going in.

The consensus is: none of those concepts were denied for being 'too interesting', but for not fitting with the game. (PS none of those concepts were even interesting) OH NO. Go play something else. This isn't the civil rights movement, you aren't being oppressed by being told you can't play a terrible cartoon character on one particular game.

LOL "too interesting". The main thing people forget in their entitlement is that any game is not just about their fun, and what interests them. Participating means you should have an eye towards what is fun and interesting for other people to play with, too.
