@sonder I perked up my ears re: you guys willing to do ports, and then I saw a very familiar character - http://fallcoast.net/wiki/Arkady_Ivanov - you guys got an Arkady!! I am super stoked now. I was going to wait until after that reboot thing but I'm now way tempted.

RE: Kay's Playlist: Crucible City (first one),TR & HM & Darkwater etc
@sonder Ahaha, thank you! I miss playing Pepper. I'm planning on bringing her back if I can find a nice Cheiron friendly place, once I've got Ida all sorted.

@songtress I will admit the names don't ring a bell, but did we play together? I didn't get to check all my logs yet.

Arise, chicken, arise!
I am on the revived Darkwater and remaking my old character Ida in all her waspy femme fatale glory. The place is quiet, I would love to see more people.

RE: Game Idea
I'd be very interested in a CoD 2.0 game, but I'm still a bit lost on your theme and setting. I'm not familiar with Book of Eli and Maze Runner, other than that the latter is similar to Hunger Games in some fashion. Can you describe a bit more what you're going for? Is it just near future post-apoc, or more complicated?

RE: Space Lords and Ladies
@Misadventure Taking it seriously, that'd be kind of fun. Some kind of mini chargen/spin the wheel deal.

@Bobotron Went to "mudhost.net" and the domain's for sale. I think you meant http://www.themudhost.net/

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
Hey Scourge, have you checked out Emerald Bay? It's all OC superheroes, M&M 3E. It's left for dead for a bit and we're reviving it slowly but surely.

RE: Empire Bay (M&M 3E)
@BobGoblin It took me months to learn whatever version we used at Crucible City, I expect it will take me just as long again. People have been very helpful.

RE: Empire Bay (M&M 3E)
I really like this game. Me and two other people are making a family team (I'm on Pacific time, late afternoons and evenings), and staff is advertising for a government group. So there's stuff starting up!

RE: Empire Bay (M&M 3E)
... I have been hankering for some M&M 3E. Oh my goodness. Uh. It's been a while and I'm hella rusty, but I will absolutely check you out.

RE: Dyaria@HM?
@Sonder I am, I am slowly (slooowly) chargenning Opal there.

Dyaria@HM?
Reading various threads and whatsit, I miss Dyaria from HM. He was great fun to play with and good OOC company. One of the logs I'd kept (from 2007...) I had titled "Strudels and Death". Anyone know the player/what he's up to? I played Lucrecia, she and him and Faust started the Subrosa cabal together. And yes, I realize this is nine years ago now.

RE: The Waiting Game
I guess three is my magic number. I would make three attempts total (direct page, @mail, etc) to arrange for RP. After about three days or so I would be fairly certain that the other person for whatever reason was not interested in this bit of RP, and would start making plans to move on, would start making contacts with other characters just in case etc. I would still give the original person one week (after my first attempt) to RP before actually moving on.

RE: MU* concept oddities
@Coin Was it a very demanding game in terms of gamemastering? If not, I've had some success when dealing smaller groups like that to set up a couple of rooms somewhere for people to play in. Mini-MU*. All the flavor, none of the stress, at least in theory.

MU* concept oddities
One of my favorite things is a MU* that's different. When I was a complete newbie I had the fortune to play on Poddington-on-Slossip, an odd little place that unfortunately closed before I knew how unusual it was. It's been over sixteen years and I still remember it fondly. It was set in the British countryside between the first and second world wars, and it had this air of mystery and spookiness to almost everything.
The downside of oddball MU*s is that once they're gone they're gone, and there's usually no way to continue your character's story. I thought I'd put up a post and see what other strange birds others may have encountered, and if there are currently running I might check out.
As far as weird ideas of my own, I am eyeing this old scifi story and pondering how one might use it for a MU*: http://web.archive.org/web/20060719184509/www.scifi.com/scifiction/classics/classics_archive/lafferty5/lafferty51.html

RE: The State of the Chronicles of Darkness
We won't have made it big until there's a WoD/Minions crossover. Dark chocolate covered twinkies for all!

RE: Good TV
The iZombie tv show has turned me into an outright fan of a show for the first time in years.
