@Cobaltasaurus I have a graphics design degree. I loved learning what I learned but I knew going in I would never do it for a job. I was an accountant for a print shop. Our designers wanted to be put down daily. Things people wanted were awful. A lot of the highest paid work was making peoples shitty paint or printshop or WORD work fit for press. So, you made the right choice based on how I've seen really skilled and very artistic designers go down in flames.

My boss got us a lot of church work. Literally clouds and rainbows made the christians happy. Seriously soul crushing stuff. Get your art degree, for fun, on your own time. Or don't. So much to learn out there, I highly recommend Lynda. I get access for free with my school. Maybe your school offers that too. It's nice.

Big high up smart important people also suck at email. So badly. All the suck. My mother has always done my dads written correspondence. She has a small town, east Texas high school education. He has a masters in civil engineering. Most accountants I know are just the worst and have hideous personal skills and terrible with technology.

I never finished Skyrim because I was busy picking flowers and being a vampire. Then I gave my 360 to my kid and got the PS4. I'm really loving Fallout 4. I'm definitely playing post apocalyptic sims though. I'm happy.

Gas lighting occurs in domestic relationships. People living together and even married. It can go on for years. It's not really the same as catfishing.

I'm a very casual gamer and I enjoy it very much. Now I have hit spots where I died a lot and went IM TAKING MY DOG AND GOING HOME TO GET MY POWER ARMOR AND YOULL BE SORRY!!! So that has happened. Only once though. And I've killed 4 legendary things and I'm only level 14!

When it's cold and dark outside but you still have to make your 10k steps so you pace up and down the garage and run up and down the stairs. Didn't get to the gym because of my toothache. This is lame but it's day 3 of the year.

Yeah. Pole dancing is hard. Stripping isn't. I have seen way more strippers just lean against the pole than actually pole dance. The hard part about stripping is dealing with the customers.

As someone who worked in a strip club, you learn some things. Cocktail waitresses also get propositioned. Strippers don't wear 4 inch heels, they wear 6+ inch heels because the platform makes all the difference. (I knew this from fetish though) Good stripper shoes are also the cheap ones (love those Pleasers!) A good waitress will go the extra mile to get her dancer some lap dances because the dancer will spread that love around. (Tip her Daddy, no no give her more and I want another drink) Many strippers are actually lesbians and/or in committed relationships. You may can take them home but it's statistically unlikely. Yes, those bitches ARE crazy but you have to be to put up with the shit they put up with.

Also, there is sex in the champagne room. Well not sex sex but you may get an expensive handjob. Just buy an escort.

Are bike lanes the same size as regular lanes? That seems weird to me. Ours are small. Too small for a car because, you know, bikes are small.

Here, bikes do have to obey traffic laws. They have to stop at red lights and stop signs. They often don't so we learned to watch for that. We have a huge problem with the critical mass douches.

But the douchy, screaming, non law abiding Portland cyclist (bikers ride real bikes that go fast and obey the laws less) is enough of a cliche that there's Portlandia segments dedicated to it. Haha. Oh Spyke.

I always joke about being SO OLD, but damn, am I actually old? I can't see being a few years from 30 as not young. Even just a few years ago I'd have never dated a 20 something. Records and 8 tracks baby. You don't have kids, you're still firmly seated in your 20s, you're young! Enjoy it!

Your point stands though. It boils down to old people are crazy. I'm starting to see it in my friends. As they start to get firmly into their 40s, there's a shift in thought. Into the 50s, a lot seem to start to drift political and right wing. Quite a few start becoming racist. My friends are getting into their 40s. Their parents are getting into their 60s. Some have siblings pushing into the 50s. My close friends and I have started tracking 'at what age do you become a racist nut job?'. They start waxing poetic about 'in my day'. Well, in my day we did some crazy redneck shit. Do I wish this on my kid? Oh hell no. That's how you get the hep, playing in nasty water. It also meant we didn't actually spend time with our parents. They just turned us loose. Just because we lived doesn't mean it was great. Hey, remember the time we rode 4 wheelers down the nasty bayou and then had to pull one out at 3 am and then we ran and hid from the cops? Yep, sure was good wholesome fun!! o.O

In short, old people are crazy.
