@wretched I have a patio. Unfortunately, I also have some asshole neighbors that routinely steal/knock things over. We've put up a camera to try and stop it, but.. such is life. We're trying to move. We're hoping to find a whole house/half a house, something with some room for that sort of things.

RE: Gardens!
@kk I am jealous. Living in an apartment, I don't have a place to do any of that.

RE: The Work Thread
@kk I hope they do everything they promise.
@RogueNeko I'm sorry, that sucks.
I need to decide what to do. I need out of my current job, hell, the current field. I have several friends encouraging me to go into the IT field with them.
I also have a friend telling me to consider getting my class B, and come work with him.

RE: RL things I love
@misadventure Every video I have seen on that makes me want to scream about why aren't we using it.

RE: Can't Get into a single specific thread
@misterboring Nope, I just pulled it up and looked at it. IDk

@derp Parton didn't want it, but I know why she's on the list. Love Judas Priest being on that list. Benetar still rocks my socks, so happy to see her, and yes, happy to see Eminem.

RE: Mental Health Break
@mietze Your health and family are a million times more important than anything here. I hope you feel better, physically/mentally/emotionally, and this weekend helps you get there.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
So the migraines have continued, and the new meds are not doing the job yet (I have to work up to the full dose). So I reached out to HR, asking about what to do, I don't have rights to FMLA, as I have not been there a year.
The Neuro has confirmed the migraines have gotten worse and higher in frequency because of the ankylosing and lupus. So yes, the migraines are in connection to ADA protected conditions. But this company wrote me up for having 3 sugar crashes in the first six weeks, (two of which took me like an hour, the other wiped me out, almost had to go to the ER bad), so apparently they don't think ADA applies to them.
HR I speak to (I don't know any others) sent me a final written yesterday, and then went on vacation. Yesterday, I ended up to the point of physical illness (tossing cookies), and had to log out.
So I was called today by two women I've never heard the names of, telling me they were terminating me for leaving yesterday. And I brought up the fact I had been reaching out to HR about the ADA compliant accommodations - so they walked it back. So now I need my drs to fill out paperwork, but "That doesn't mean the termination won't continue".
So yeah. I've been looking for a new job anyhow, because this company has tried to play with my pay, but now the need is dire. Oi.

RE: Active Games?
@testament Until a guest logs in, sees only a handful of folks, and thinks that no one plays there. It's a vicious balancing act.

RE: The Work Thread
@ganymede Oh no, she made the remark there's a connection. I just don't know if she put it in my NOTES from my visit. And trying to get paperwork done takes ages, most of the time.
-
RE: The Work Thread
@ganymede Yes, but that means getting the doctor to write me up something saying "Yes, the migraines may well be connected to the lupus and ankylosing spondylitis."

RE: The Work Thread
So, because of migraines (and lack of treatment for a month), my neuro office wrote me a note to cover my ass for when I just couldn't stand ...well, life in general. AKA in my room with no lights on, ear plugs in, scented candle lit to try and help me relax sort of thing.
Yesterday, my supervisor called me while I was out picking up groceries (what little I dared let myself buy, knowing the bills coming next week, and how little I'll get paid), telling me they're still counting those as occurrences. AKA, I am going to get a serious write up. Now, are the migraines connected to one of my other, ADA protected conditions? Seems so, yes. Does that matter to HR? I don't think so.
So yeah. As much as I like the schedule and pay rate, time to start looking. Sigh.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
So, that no taking any pain relievers at all for a month? Yeah. Yesterday, the head pain was so bad, I called the on call, and begged to be allowed to take anything for it. Got denied, because my appt is on Friday.
So I explained I can't work my full shifts at work in this pain, etc. She said she'd write me a note. I explained I only needed to be able to leave early if the pain got too bad. ...she wrote it taking me out completely. And work won't LET me work, even partial hours, without a revised note.
So I called the Neuro office, asking for a revised note, this morning. Still waiting for a call back. I can't afford to not work for FOUR DAYS. I am freaking out.

RE: The Work Thread
My job Oi. My supervisor was requested to change some punches that had been wrong on my time card. She did not. I had to be out of work while our ISP came to look at our system, and she did not put in my PTO for that day.
So my paycheck is over 200 dollars short, because of crap I can not fix or do, and she chose not to. I am furious.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@buttercup I confess that I don't know you. But this I do know. You didn't screw anyone over. You were doing everything right. You were kicking ass and taking names.
this is just a step back. It's a cha cha, not a permanent backwards move. Things will come together and work out fine.
I know this may sound cold to suggest (and I do not mean it to be), but maybe set up a gofundme or something similar, to help you get through the immediate rough patch? I know it's not something anyone wants to do, but it could help maybe ease some of the pressure off you, and let you breathe.

The moment you're a little out of it, and post something very private, in the wrong discord server.
I caught it right away, but..hello rush of heart pounding anxiety

@arkandel See, for me? I'm TERRIFIED of running plot. What if they hate it? What if I have to switch things around and I fuck it up? What if I change things and they hate it? AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
I was promised a 'fresh inspection', from the regional manager of the chain shithole I went to.
I showed up today, and the first thing he brings up, is the tie rod. Like.. the guy at the counter. My car is still in the lot.
I'm over this shit. I called my DOT buddy and he read the guy the riot act.
they're telling me it's the OTHER SIDE tie rod, now. (Still just one, it apparently swapped sides.)
And the light they said was out, was now in a different place than what I was told before. So like.. wtfever
