@Misadventure they literally called a whole subsection of people sub-human and linked a picture of someone with Down's syndrome to illustrate 'sub-human'? What is there to undermine in anything they said?

RE: Has anyone ever tried to resurrect a dead game with a group of dedicated players?
@Nein Your transformers game in 2014/2015, I think? If that wasn't your game, I apologize for confusing you for someone else. I don't even recall the title of it. I was only on because I wanted to play with friends who were super in to transformers, and the game was really disorganized and undocumented. I didn't manage to stay long, because transformers is not my jam on top of the rest.

Sometimes, also, staff think that their tools are more accessible and usable than they actually are. That is why having staff will always be important, and a well-organized staff with their fingers on the pulse of their game, so to speak.
No offense, but what I remember from what little I was on your game, @Nein, there was very little organization which made tools unusable.

RE: Good TV
@Thenomain I did! I already read them all. All the books, ever.

RE: RL things I love
Finishing the work I was allotted four days for in two? Kind of great. Except now I have a billion days of trying to get Apple to publish a new version of my app.

RE: Good TV
@Kanye-Qwest one day. surely, surely there will be more books one day.
-
RE: Good TV
Are these spoilers what I deserve, for not watching GoT?
I plan to, one day. But I started with the books first and I want to end with the books first.

RE: RL Anger
@Kanye-Qwest I feel weird upvoting that. It was an empathetic upvote, not that I like that you have to have surgery!

RE: RL things I love
@Faceless You stole this from John Mulaney. As a RL thing I love, I seriously love John Mulaney.

RE: RL Anger
when I left the house to drag myself into work, despite my body breaking down on me today (my finger is throbbing, I have a migraine, I just started my period, etc)-- I also left a bird trapped in a heating vent, because it wouldn't let me pull it out and see it to the door.
Hopefully when I get back, it'll still be alive, but my cats were actually hunting for once in their lazy lives so-- I don't know.
(note, I only came in because my boss was texting with his disapproving voice.)

Ok, for anyone curious. These are the pictures she is referring to, I'm p sure. And it's a long and not very interesting story. Like, a number of years ago, about 6? 7? My stepdad gave them to me to sell on e-bay for him. He'd bought them when he was young and just out of college with his first real job. And he thought that naked women in fancy frames was classy art. Literally, he was just trying to figure out classy art and he looked at these and thought 'yeah, this'.
So I got them, meant to list them somewhere to sell them-- never did. So instead, they sat around my apartment for a year because I was too lazy. Then I got the bright idea to just hang them up, because if I was too lazy to sell them, hanging them up is the next logical step! So I did. And then they just kind of became-- permanent. I even rearranged the art several times, until eventually now they sit above my bed, making a faux headboard for it.

RE: Auspice Needs To Move!
Just as an update! Auspice has made it as far as Colorado, alive and well! I cut my finger to pieces cleaning for her. We are ordering pizza; I am going to fill up her tank in the morning.
All is good!

RE: Eliminating social stats
@Ghost the first page. now you owe me two, sir.

RE: Eliminating social stats
@Ghost uhm, then where is my upvote, sir. I am in a race here.
And the 'being honest' about your character construction was also what I was getting at, but @Ganymede said it better. If your character is a social brickhouse of awesome, then you should have to be honest about how you are building that, have your sheet reflect it, /if/ you are doing a sheeted system. If you aren't doing a sheeted system, or doing a game that is entirely PvE, then it doesn't matter nearly as much.

I think, if you are only selling physical stats and skills, you are giving a big, big advantage to players who are just good roleplayers.
I can't think of a better endorsement than that, even if @Meg didn't mean it that way.
'Good' roleplayer is subjective in this circumstance and I should have clarified. Good being, I am charming and I can write the pretty words. Good being, people tend to like me OOCly. Good being that I have no social issues that might prevent me from realizing how to play people ICly.
Good does not include people that might be awesome people that are struggling to find hooks. Good does not include people that add to the game, even if not everyone likes their pose style. Etc etc.
