    • RE: Regarding administration on MSB

@surreality also worth noting that it’s very rare that anyone agrees at all on anything here. Even who/what constitutes bad actors.

Are you out there mushing still? I know she used to read here (or maybe wora) once upon a time. I feel sad to have lost contact (though I think she took a long break near the end of RfK.

Anyway, miss you, would love to get in touch again.

    • RE: Player Omsbudsman?

@ganymede while I think that could work if it was part of a co-headwiz type of arrangement, I think i would be a little leery if resolving complaints and issues was spun off to a single person because the headstaff did not want to be involved.

In case you were wondering, peeling a raw fucking butternut squash is just as annoying as you might suspect.

@surreality i don’t see your point. You disagree, that’s great, but no more not-subjective than someone who does see two offenses. Or more. I don’t understand the argument here. You’re tire of seeing people complain about this, I get it. But that doesn’t mean that universally that’s the standard for people shutting up any more than you should be told you can’t be personally annoyed by it. And it doesn’t make people feel the way they feel less strongly to hear someone else say it’s stupid. Not sure that ever works for anyone.

I also have to admit I'm exceptionally unlikely to want to play on a game that is so administrative/bureaucracy heavy that would be necessary (needed because of the volume/large staff dynamics, rather than disinterest) or an admin team on a small game where nobody was capable of communicating well or being able to assist with mediation to the point that a person had to be brought in specifically because it was such a problem.

Especially the latter. I can see the value in the former though.

@miss-demeanor said in Regarding administration on MSB:

You aren't the only one that sees the not-so-subtle correlations between staffers who are acting in ways that they would ban people for on their own games. Its being noted with high amusement.

      Consider this thirded emphatically.

General note: it's seriously annoying to see the board explode in a fit every time the mods do something, and it does. It's almost always the same handful of people complaining, and honestly, at this point, I wish they'd make their own forum, moderated in their preferred fashion, rather than dragging this one into the proverbial toilet of 'argue about every single mod action for pages on end'.

This seems rather “shut up” to me, but perhaps I misread.

Because again, every time on other subjects brought up we do seem to rehash the same stories and reactions and gnashing of teeth almost verbatim.

    • RE: Random Thoughts

In the case of inter species intercourses, I mean obviously it can be done (here’s looking at you anal/intestinal perforation dude that led to bestiality finally becomeing a felony in WA!) but there are often complications. Most pictures I’ve seen don’t have a male centaur’s beefdart swinging around like a human’s so I can only assume it’s closer to horse physiology. Which means Stallion Stan is a minute man as well as having poor aim.

That could be outrageously fun to ruin someone’s hot fantasy sex scene for them. 😛

If you’re anyone important wouldn’t you just do it in your yacht or something? I could see people really getting into the setting though. All of the I Was A White Slave In The Exotic Veiled Market backgrounds that some poor bastard is going to have to read as app staffer....

You actually should be careful about stretching muscles that aren’t warmed up. In terms of helping prevent DOMA ice/cold packs and post-exertion stretching is much more important and less likely to cause injury.

When my practice included a lot of athletes I met quite a few who caused injury over time by trying to force stretches prior to workouts and where the muscle wasn’t warmed up.

If you look for beginner runners stretches online those are good places to start as long as you’re not hypermobile. I highly recommend the active isolated stretching technique for both warm up stretching (but again you need to expect to go easier pre-workout than post-) and for post exertion or to increase mobility (that and time was the only thing that helped me resolve frozen shoulder and has helped many of my former clients as well, it was always part of what I taught therapeutic clients when they needed homework). There are tons of great you tube videos if you search on it—IME even as someone with formal instruction in it reading a book about stretching vs seeing it in action was always hard to understand.

    • RE: How much Code is too much Code?

@surreality i think for some people the coded stuff /does/ enhance their RP and creativity though. I wouldn’t want to say that someone who enjoys it isn’t being just as creative. I know some of the crisis stuff of RfK drove people nuts but I liked the narrative aspect (it described something of concern/going wrong in your monitored territories), because it allowed me to be super creative in how I narrated back how I would attempt to solve in conjunction with the roll.). Other people would have found it stifling or busywork though.

    • RE: Realms - Sir Kay - Lotherio

It's easy to say "don't worry about what other people think," but the truth is when you land on a new mush, chat with people and the conversation moves to where else you've played, and then they say "oh shit! You are the person who forced rape play on someone I know and were skype sexing the head staff to get away with it and get bumped up stats!!!" When you did no such thing? It feels pretty gross. Horrible in fact. And people do not give others the benefit of the doubt, until the lies start about them. 😕 which if you're smart you're not around for! But it's still a really gross feeling.

Anyway, I concur: please state the incorrect rumors here. At least it's a record. 😞
