RE: RL things I loveposted in Tastes Less Game'y@roz Nice workaround there! I would expect Facebook to trumpet more about such a capacity.

RE: RL Angerposted in Tastes Less Game'yIf the joints feel clicky, might be "trigger finger", which is actual an irritation of the ligaments in your palm, not at the fingers. Isolation is the speed along fix for that.

RE: Cheap or Free Games!posted in Other GamesToo bad you can't share digital copies. Mine is ignored.

RE: RL Angerposted in Tastes Less Game'yOne of my friends had a hostile fellow move in downstairs, with the same story. Literally, they complained their refrigerator was too loud. Now, on one hand, they had brought in their own quiet one. On the other, its a goddamn apartment complex, if you need silence, don't live where you share a wall or a ceiling. My friend made attempts to be accommodating, the guy became threatening, the landlords invited the guy to move out.

RE: Reporting Roadblocks: Denial, Fear, Shame, Guilt, Embarrassment, etc.posted in Mildly Constructive@surreality I hear you have rainbow hair too RL, so you sound perfect. Hired.

RE: Reporting Roadblocks: Denial, Fear, Shame, Guilt, Embarrassment, etc.posted in Mildly ConstructiveI think we need Q-players. People you can call in to make a character, and explore and investigate the waters around another player, or a topic. I vote for @Ganymede clones. I trust her, she's intelligent, has a good memory, and is rewarding to RP with.

RE: Reasons why you quit a game...posted in Mildly ConstructiveUsually staff and the rules, or the player culture, undercuts the pretend value of something. I like context, and if there is no scarcity of anything, including say people with super human skill X, it takes away from the sense that anything at all matters about my character. -
Who cares if they take risks they shouldn't if they can replace what they lose without thinking?
-
Who cares if being dedicated to something with skills, or dedication has no weight?
-
Same with thematic elements.
It makes it all feel like one big improve session, literally an illusion where all the players thought something was happening, but nothing at all was. Maybe some word play.

RE: Good or New Movies Reviewposted in Tastes Less Game'y@sockmonkey said in Good or New Movies Review: I am scarred and angry forever for the time I will never get back from watching the dumpster fire that was Sucker Punch. We can never be friends.

RE: Regarding administration on MSBposted in Mildly Constructive@surreality That is part of why I am here, to learn how to communicate with you hoomans. Do not suspect I am not human.

RE: Regarding administration on MSBposted in Mildly Constructive@mietze and others: Sometimes people may come here to vent a little, and see if they have an actual case, or maybe just having others propose alternate causation ideas is enough to remove the issue. So don't always take it badly if someone comes here first. Now, if they complain how they could never tell staff this, well, okay then.

RE: Regarding administration on MSBposted in Mildly ConstructiveTo be fair, my experience is really with FreePress, the student run version of the NEWS function at my college. We wanted to be able to talk about what we wanted, with the language we wanted, and we agreed that a opt in list was better than the one that everyone was auto joined to. It also had moderators quit over and over and over as trolls and wankers worked to see what would make them quit. My approach: It runs from my account. I will report threats. Otherwise, I do not care.

RE: Regarding administration on MSBposted in Mildly Constructive@saosmash You are correct. However, some trot out issues of purity, loyalty, and authority in regards to participating in it. Game authority carries over only in limited ways, and the desire to control the story cannot be met, so the purity of desired or perceived narrative is besmirched. For others, fairness and reduction of harm are more important. So yeah, conservative vs liberal core values. Free press is the devil.

RE: Changeling The Lost 2nd Edition Kickstarterposted in Tastes Less Game'yDear Dev Diary, Today I convinced the editors that a non-transitive asymmetrical ratings structure of custom tier counts per Kith, Keeper, Court and Page number would best represent the Lost.
