@Crysta I think I have a pretty good idea who you're talking about. I just thought she made different wiki accounts because people know who she is.

I mean that's what I always did when I looked at a new game, peer at wiki accounts so I know who I'm potentially dealing with.

Three tends to be my limit in general. Four if I reeeeeally like the game, but never anything past that.

Is this an original theme game or is it based on a system of some kind that I've never heard of?

      Either way, color me interested.

That was going on before the game changed hands. There was one player who had, like, what, six alts? I always thought that was a bit much, really.

So what I take away from is that Glaw and Gwyanelle has made the place their own little sandbox and everyone else is just sorta...there?

Nobody saw that one coming. /sarcasm

    • RE: Space Lords and Ladies

On my sci fi game, one of my factions was space nobility. But instead of houses, I set it up like a corporate oligarchy. Where corporations were considered noble families, and ownership was ruled by it's family. Marriages with other corporations were considered partial mergers, and purely based on fiancial success and the genetic compatability of the pair being wed.

It also allowed for corproate espionage and assassinations, hostile takeovers and complete buyouts of other corporations.

I thought it was a great idea, but the game ended up never taking off. If I could do it all over again, I'd probably focused wholly on just that one factions. And see what happens.

BESM, or Big Eyes Small Mouths. I don't know why I liked the Tri-Stat system as much as I do, and I haven't played it in awhile, but the system was just so open to make any kind of tropey character you ever wanted to. It didn't have to be based in anime, which is what the system drew a lot of inspiration off of. An example would be that I created a Yatcha(or however it's spelled, it's been awhile, but the alien species from Predator)in one of the longer campaigns I was apart of.

It's just really flexible and terribly open to allow you to just whatever, yet there for all that openness, it doesn't let you go so crazy you end up being overpowered. In which case, something just as overpowered could be thrown at you.

Still, really really love that system. I miss playing it.

Someone go check on Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan and make sure they're both okay.

And as another note, is GRRM writing this year? Fucking Red January or some shit.

      Fuck this month.

Losing Lemmy was really rough, it was a band that me and my brother bonded over. But it's just made worse now that Bowie has left the world. It's all the more reason I think that I need to buy Blackstar.

    • RE: MSB alias/username

I used to draw and make monograms in highschool. Doodles mostly, but the friends in my DnD group started calling me Mono because my player's handbook was covered in them from drawing idly during class and during game.

That's about it. And I just like how the word sounds. And because I played a serial thief who'd leave monograms of houses he burgled.

I've never heard of Pendragon, though it seems I probably should. I'm guessing one would need the books in order to play it?

Watched the documentary Soaked in Bleach last night, because Netflix had my attention. If any of you were interested the death of Kurt Cobain, it's a fascinating watch in realizing just how inept the Seattle police department was at that time.

If any of you were a fan grunge and mid 90s bands(one of my favorite genres), I suggest go watch it. I guess I watched it because with the recent death of Scotte Weiland, just making me realize that more and more of the singers who I used to listen to so much are gone.

I use Potato. I like it, it reminds me a lot like SimpleMU. And I would go back to that if it was ever updated, but that seems pretty unlikely.
