Going back in chrome is hotkeyed to alt+left arrow (PC)/cmd+left arrow (Mac). It used to be backspace, but they removed that one for obvious reasons and I came across the new one accidentally. I love my shortcuts.

Next time it goes on sale, I'm coming for you!

Oh, theirs. Sorry, thought that would be obvious, but if I were you I'd also be freaked.
Sorry, I'm so used to being the self-absorbed snowflake in my family, I just assume anything negative is directed at me. XD I definitely agree with you! My dad used to be one of those responsible gun owners. My parents used to be democrats, even. They're both college-educated, they're reasonably well off in a way I'll probably never experience myself. Now they've turned into stereotypical racist, rural rednecks. Despite my dad being an immigrant himself. The irony seriously hurts. I don't understand them at all anymore.

@PuppyBreath The reason you're glad you don't have a gun in the house is the same as mine, and I feel you on that one.
My folks do the same thing. They are similarly head-fucked into thinking they have a corner on discernment re: who is and isn't 'deserving', and their take on health care is 'why the fuck should we care about health care being accessible to anybody else, fuck this socialist bullshit, we have medicare now and don't have to care'.
There really are days I wish the irony fairy was an actual thing that'd show up and sparkle the shit out of somebody's face for a few seconds when something like that escapes their mouths.
My parents were both military. They don't have to worry about healthcare, so they definitely don't give any thought to how other people get theirs. They hated ACA even more because one of my sisters was just the right age that she didn't get a break on premiums. But, hey, I still convinced that sister to care about politics and now it's us on this side and everyone else on the other, so at least I'm not completely alone.
If you ever need someone to lean on about the Dark, always feel free to ping me. That goes for anyone. I kind of suck at being comforting or expressing emotions, but I will always listen to someone who needs someone to listen to them.

This attitude is gross and insulting to anyone who considers themselves a responsible gun owner (I'm not, but I grew up in a family that hunted and my parents had them around. I still kinda like target shooting on occasion). What terrifies me isn't guns, it's the morons who get them with zero interest in safety, respect or proper training and see them as an extension of some politically misguided Ameri-peen.
I don't know if you're talking about my attitude or theirs. I don't personally have a problem with people as a general rule owning guns. Just with people like me possibly having access to them in a dark moment. And other people making light of it (albeit unknowingly in this instance).

If I didn't have huge ping in the NA server, I'd be way more patient with you than most people. Mostly because 1) I am naturally just bad at MOBAs and 2) I don't take them seriously.
I love trolling people who get super pissed off when I make mistakes and stuff.
I think my favorite was when I started trolling this jungler that kept crapping on me. I basically just build movement speed so he couldn't outrun me and I kept stealing his jungle kills, or, like, there's this plant that if you hit it it sends you flying in a direction and I would just activate it at the worst possible moment for him.
Like, I get it, I was being a total dick, but this guy, man--THIS GUY.
So yeah.
WHY AREN'T YOU PLAYING OVERWATCH WITH ME

RE: RL Anger
I'm so fucking frustrated with the conservative half of my family. I'm a little fucked in the head sometimes, I've dealt with serious depression and social anxiety for as long as I can remember. They've had it out for healthcare, but since I'm white, clearly the help that the government offers is 'for people like me.' Then they vote for the bullshit that is 45, and my mom is telling me I really need to get my healthcare in order, but never mind that she voted for the party that's gleefully trying to take it away from a huge chunk of the population. And she can't understand how her vote, and the fundamental reasons we have different voting patterns, has seriously put a one-sided strain on our relationship. Nope, I'm the judgmental one who can't deal with other people having different ideas.
But the most recent icing on the cake was yesterday when I offhandedly mentioned to my mother in the natural course of a conversation how I'm not comfortable living in the same house as guns. Especially with people who are drunk a lot (I live with my younger, also 45-voting sister who wants to get a gun... or already got one, I don't really want to know). Later, my mom finds a poster with a gun on it that says 'Keep Calm and Carry' and she laughs about how my sister should get it because I don't like guns. I rolled my eyes, but inside I'm the weak ass fuck who doesn't have the heart to tell them that, you know, if I'd had a gun available at certain times in my life, I probably would have shot myself in the fucking head with it.
I really hate my family sometimes. And I hate myself for not being able to be a bitch to them.

I'm moving in the middle of doing my Bachelor's. Well. I'm in my final 8 months. I'm actually a bit anxious about how I'll juggle classwork the week I'm driving down. >.>
(But once you do move, since there will be a few of us at that point, we will DO THINGS!)I probably would have moved already, but I got a local grant to pay for the rest of my BS, so I can't move until I'm finished with it. Which should be in spring, so not too long! We should all definitely get together and do things!

RE: Auspice Needs To Move!
Yes! I have tentative plans to move to Austin once I finish my bachelor's! I'll see what I can do to help! So many exclamation points!!!

and never touch the game again....at least that was my experience.
That was my initial experience, too. I got it close to when it first came out. It was practically unplayable on my computer because of lag. And I knew no one who played it. It's much better with other people! And with some settings changed to make taming take less time, xp come faster, etc.

I don't actually know what Ark is.
Ark is a PVP survival game. With dinosaurs! You build bases, form tribes with other players, tame dinosaurs, die a lot. Fun times.

RE: General Video Game Thread
If anyone is interested in playing Ark, I have a Ragnarok server set up with some QOL mods and rate fiddling.
If you're interested, the easiest way to connect is by going to your steam client, clicking on view -> servers, then hit the favorites tab. Right click or click the add a server button and put in 192.154.225.101:27015. Should be called Floofnarok. You can either connect from there, or it will also now show up in your favorites when you look at the servers in game.
We just wiped progress, so it's a pretty clean slate again!

RE: Where to play?
You could check out NOLA! We're Chronicles of Darkness, but fairly small so far and helpful for learning. I know there are some other people who have been wanting to play during the day, too. I don't play anywhere else right now, really, so I can't be more helpful than that, sorry!

RE: Play w/ me on Arx!
I tried. Arx. Not playing with you. Though I was sort of close once, maybe.

RE: The Crafting Thread
I've been learning how to do chain maille. It's fun! This is a bracelet I made for my sister a few weeks ago. She's since lost it. -_-
Also toying with the idea of turning them into browbands for horses.

RE: PuppyBreath's Playlist
@Cupcake I kind of miss that game! It was a lot of fun while it lasted. I'm so glad that you could laugh at him OOCly!
-
RE: PuppyBreath's Playlist
Updated with my sad attempt at playing on Arx. And my sort-of-maybe-only-active-with-air-quotes alts right now on NOLA.

RE: Roleplaying writing styles
I really enjoyed playing my mute character despite the fact that I mostly played her with @Coin and he's obviously a big jerk. I love seeing body language and expressions in poses. I've learned to hate the phrase 'a little'. I still use it a little.
