@Cupcake and @Auspice were having actual conversations about who they thought the various people were, on MSB. How'd you miss it?

@lotherio I always enjoyed how Wild Cards started because the authors were playing a superhero TT. They spent so much time at it that they realized they were losing money, turned it into a book series that was so poplar that GURPS turned it into two supplement books, (one was Wild Cards, the other was Aces Abroad.)

But I'm hoping the show doesn't suck.

Jojo Rabbit. Holy shit. It's...1/2 comedy and 2/3 drama and I know that doesn't add up except it's a Taika Waititi film, so it totally does. Amazing film.

@Ganymede Are you talking about something like what the Corinthian did or how Fiddlers' Green behaved? (I'd elaborate, but if you've read The Sandman, you know, and if you haven't, it's a spoiler.) Or something more like Matthew?

@Auspice Query: how is the person on the other end supposed to know that you worked as a tech? Did you offer him your resume?

@Ghost It's been Old Gods of Appalachia for me. (Cypher System.) Been rolling around and getting comfortable in it. My group tried City of Mists, but for a system that's supposed to be cinematic, it is unnecessarily complicated.

@SinCerely And should have! I've tried to make a mask like that. I discovered several things.

1. My sewing skills are not NEARLY advanced enough to make that kind of mask.
2. My mom was right: curved seams are the DEVIL.
3. I still don't really know much on how to sew and still want to take classes in it!

Unfortunately, the way you're engaging is, whether intentional or not, coming across as antagonistic. "Whining" about toxic masculinity or femininity really has no purpose but to start a fight, and in that case, it belongs on The Hog Pit. Except it closed because that kind of fighting has no place on MSB anymore.

On the other hand, if that kind of argument is your thing, maybe try BrandMuDay?

@derp Yeah, but some of us have known you for a while and would like to be able to throw five or ten bucks your way, because you exist and make people happy.

@mietze Let yourself pass out as much as you need. It's good for your mind to just not be engaging with all the stress that's been dogging you for literal years, and it's healing. I can write you a note for permission if you need one.

I spent an entire evening watching YouTube videos of the various ways people churn butter, from the old fashioned dash churns, to the newer crank churns, to one woman who showed three different ways, (shaking a jar of cream, using a KitchenAid, and using an electric churn.) I think my favorite was the woman with the Ninja blender.

I also ended up very happy I didn't buy that 40 dollar handcrank churn that I saw a year or two ago in Target. Apparently, it's a POS and if I ever get around to making butter, well, I have a KitchenAid.
