He reprised his role as the Trickster for the Arrowverse Flash as well. There are all sorts of shoutouts to the 1990s show.
ETA: Somehow my brain didn't register the first part of your comment. Carry on.
And yeah, I'd love to see a reference.

@Jeshin Yeah, I prefer Dota's flexible MMR for the same reason. One game shouldn't count so incredibly much more for your rank than another.
That said, I'm still terrified of doing ranked Dota. SO.
@Coin I've played League on-and-off since Season 1, and I can tell you that ever since the ranked overhaul that introduced promotionals, I've found Gold games markedly easier than Silver. Silver V is the absolute worst group of people in that game. Bronze players usually have humility by virtue of being Bronze (don't know how that's changed with the new sub-bronze league), but Silver V players tend to be just as bad, if not worse, with completely unwarranted arrogance. So if you've crawled out of that cesspool, you're probably a lot better than you think you are.
I know Dota has an even worse reputation for toxicity, but the attitude of the League playerbase is like 80% of why I switched. The fact that I've been playing long enough to have Judgement Kayle and still don't own every champion is the remaining 20%.
100% an improvement over the comics, yeah. I'm looking forward to that plot arc in season 2.
@Tinuviel said in RL things I love:
@Thenomain Should just copy and past
Sebastianenemies and level design into every few DA2imagesplot points you can find. Since that's what Bioware did.
Fixed.
I'm still fucking bitter.

Also, the writers were aware of the issues with fridging in the comics, which was one of the reasons for the big twist
Which twist? I haven't read the comics and don't plan to.
Having watched Another Life and read all the universally negative reviews of it, I think it's safe to say that I have truly atrocious standards for television. I thought it was lots of fun.
I'm gonna watch the Expanse next.
Hating my body so much that I won't get out of bed for hours because I don't want to see myself in a mirror is a new and interesting symptom of serious mental dysfunction.

Don't get me started on my dumpsterfire of a promo yesterday.
One of two significant reasons I play dota. I hate promos.
The Dota International is a good introduction to the game, because they have a dedicated stream for new players.
And the International is pretty much the only thing I watch. I've never really been into watching sports, meatspace or otherwise, and it's only recently that I've recognized it can be fun as a social thing.
There's a really excellent chocolate called Madécasse that has intense flavor. But, like most robustly flavored chocolate (did I really just unironically type that), it's quite dark. Milk chocolate can be wonderful, but you aren't going to be able to taste the underlying chocolate unless you're eating chocolate with a really high cacao percentage.
Oh, if you're chronically hyperkalemic, a few bananas a week won't cut it. Start gnawing on potatoes and guac.
@Auspice
EAT MORE BANANAS!
I'm sorry you have to deal with cramps. It sounds shitty.

I’m, uh, just gonna sit here at the table in the break room for a while longer and pretend I didn’t just trigger muscle cramps in both calves from stretching.

This post remains weirdly in context.
I don't know if I'm being sniped at here or not.
@Ghost
I am not a fan of WoW or its lore for a bevy of reasons, but the constant "WE MUST PUT ASIDE OUR DIFFERENCES TO FACE A LITERAL EXISTENTIAL THREAT" every few years is the biggest one. You'd think they'd have figured out Azeroth probably needs a united force to defend it by now. Like at some point you'd think the Tauren and the Night Elves would realize how much they have in common, or the Orcs and the Dwarves, or the humans and the blood elves WHO WERE ALLIES FOR CENTURIES BEFORE GARITHOS.

on the other hand, Mr Rogers is a figure so cemented in my memory that seeing someone else 'be' him touches on uncanny valley.
I had a therapist who, honest to god, had a voice absolutely indistinguishable from Fred Rogers. From the pitch to the timbre to the quiet gentleness to the slight quaver. It was sufficiently pronounced that when I brought it up he told me that many of his patients had said the same thing. Can confirm MASSIVELY UNCANNY.
Also massively comforting.

Oof. I can't stand it when my hands start going numb. If I don't have benzos in my system at that point, I'm going to have a full-blown attack.
I know I can't stay on clonazepam forever, but the thought of going off it is terrifying. I can go to work three days a week now. I'll lose 90% of my regained functionality if I lose the klonopin right now. Here's hoping I can stay on it long enough.
I wouldn't wish panic attacks on my worst enemy.
I mean you can bake bread in a clay pot over coals if you have to, but that doesn't mean that you're going to enjoy the process. Or the results.
