I enjoyed RP quite a lot with both Gerrit and Solon (didn't RP with Antaeus).

      You're a swell enough fellow too. 🙂

@Thenomain said in EPIC vs Steam:

So what kind of game is Anthem? It looks like it wants to be a cross between Warframe and Call of Duty, like someone saw Destiny 2 and thought, "That can't go wrong."

It's a Looter-Shooter like Destiny. Supposed to have more of a narrative focus, but in the end, the point of the game is to go on missions, kill stuff, get better loot, use better loot to do harder difficulties to get even better loot.

What I played of the last Beta was pretty good. Yeah it had some technical issues, but the gunplay was pretty fantastic.

I'm not a fan of epic or their launcher, I'd rather use Origin. So for me, anything going Epic exclusive is a hard pass.

Having experienced some of Origin's weirder quirks, this reads to me a little like "I'm not a fan of having a fork stuck in my eye, I'd rather have it stuck in my foot." I mean... yes, fair, but I'd prefer not being stuck with a knife in the first place.

I get what you're saying... but...

This alone turned my opinion right around on Origin, LOL.

I remember that! Sadly that game didn't last as long as I would have hoped, kinda dug the setting and all.

Since I've been too lazy to get around to doing this. Which honestly describes half of my MUing 'career' or what have you. Anyway, I'm really just putting down places and characters I spent any real time on since I have hopped on some places, spent like a week or two and then flaked out. I also want a Wheel of Time MU*, and the threads posted about one last year really was a damn tease.

      Current

      Past characters

      Arx - Vittorio
      5th World - Solon, Antaeus
8th Sea - Gerrit (regretably idled out due to RL, did enjoy this place a bit)
      Eternal Crusade/CE - Gabriel, Tristan
Fallcoast - Tucker, plus a couple alts I barely did anything on.
Heroes Assembled - Warren Worthington, Victor von Doom, Kyle Rayner
      Heroes & Villains - Constantine
Reno (3rd one or whatever) - Rourke, Holden
Tales of the Round - Maelgwyn
      Valorous Dominion - Cosimo, Albrecht

I dont really see the harm in some idiot thinking the earth is flat. Seems like a dumb but harmless thing to think of, so why be so angry? Antivax people are literally harming people with their stupid ass ideas, seems like a group of people that deserve active scorn. Flat earthers are just amusing in comparison.

See why a wiki is better, g'dammit?

      No.

ETA: People following the rules, and the rules being enforced consistently, is better.

Yeah, still not seeing the value of the wiki. I mean... "don't post to the ad threads unless you're the OP". How hard is that for people to follow? We're all (allegedly) adults here.

I too think a wiki is unnecessary with what is currently happening. If moderation is an issue, seems like getting a new moderator would be an easier option than building a wiki.

Is this where we've gotten to in this hobby? On the Internet? Where one person says "I hate this thing!" and everyone who doesn't hate that thing has to defend it to the death?

Yes. But things have been here for quite some time, at least online. You're not alone in noticing a circle jerk of defensive behavior in this whole situation.

Honestly, I'd like to petition @Arkandel to take away the upvote button. I just don't think it serves a good purpose anymore.

What I want to know now is how many outright stupid things you do now. (I laugh as I type this because most stupid things don't SEEM stupid at the time.)

Oh I've done plenty of stupid shit in my life. In High School, a friend and I decided to have a BB gun fight in my garage. Can't even begin to tell you how angry my dad was with bb's stuck in the walls, lol.

It's all part of the HUMAN EXPERIENCE. Granted, I'm not gonna put a blindfold on to try and drive around.

As for recent stupid stuff? A few years ago I drove a thumb tack through a finger nail because I wondered if that could happen. That was a very unpleasant experience. I've also mindlessly burned a finger or two accidentally touching a hot pan because I just wasn't thinking at the time. So yeah. Definitely have done some dumb shit!

In Kindergarten, a kid dared me to walk up to the front of the class and pull my pants down and moon the class. Dares are serious business yo, so I did just that.

Then my dad whooped my ass when we got home, LOL.

@arkandel Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a huge action JRPG. If you like JRPGs, it's a great example of the kind, and has a lot to do. Tales of Vesperia is also a JRPG, and should be coming out this week.

Piggybacking on this comments to +1 Tales games.

Also FFX/FFX-2 and FFXII are coming to Switch soon. All are great in their own ways. (Yes, even FFX-2, great combat system!)
