@ganymede I just have to get my indigent client to agree to telephonic testimony for out of state witnesses to make it stop but they want to schedule Dec 27 through 29 and I talked a big game like sure we can go whale watching but ugh. That was the only time my stupid brother could potentially visit over the holidays.

I mean people make other people deal with unfun shit in rp all the time. I spent like two days of my rp time this week dealing with a character being a whiny passive aggressive shit about something stupid. I don't think that's at all uncommon. It's just not really the same issue as IC discrimination.

I borrowed from a friend when I was trying to learn WoD. I like to buy hard copy for most rpg books because they are usually pretty and we pass them around at game nights. Also it's handy to have something to read in the bathroom.

I have been treating these symptoms for a solid week. The upshot: my sinuses are almost completely better. My cough is worse. And I have been sleeping constantly.

This is not convenient for billing hours. Or doing rp. Or living in an apartment that does not look like some kind of Kleenex explosion zone.

@ganymede When we ran our Mass Effect game, we had staff npcs in charge of our mercenary company for a long time (although one of them eventually turned out to be the Shadow Broker, spoilers). It worked pretty well although I always wanted players to feel more free to go out and just do things than they were.

I do think the game required significantly more active time commitment to stay caught up before crisis and @action combined to make plot more manageable. There IS an issue that has continued with information sharing that I find puzzling and it does seem to be ongoing, like clues are candy and people just hate sharing their candy sometimes?? But I do think systems have progressed significantly to allow better time management than in Alpha. Work in progress.

Ftr, I don't play every day; I just don't have time to play every day. I have a full time job and spend 3 hours every day driving.

Just not the case. The conflict between sourcebooks and helpfiles only exists in rulesets where the systems are not purpose built for MU** play.
