RE: Depression Meals
Noodles and cottage cheese. As I eat this for lunch I think it is probably depression food.

RE: Let's talk about TS.
I think public groping in a nightclub is fine but at a Starbucks is eyeroll. Idk. I wish I were more surprised that this is a difficult line to draw in the sand.

RE: The Art of Lawyering
@Rinel Well, if they could afford the bail, they'd clearly be a flight risk...

RE: Arx: @clues
I have seen some REALLY misguided stuff IC, and people almost always double down when you try and steer them back towards reality because of course no one's made up theory that they made themselves could be based in inaccurate information or rooted in a mix of Arx theme and other fantasy stuff they unconsciously drew in from elsewhere.

RE: The Art of Lawyering
@Rinel Admittedly I sometimes have to chant this to myself after they scream at / hang up on me.

RE: @Arx: Anonymous Messengers (Answered)
@apos I vaguely remember a zillion years ago Talen and Valkieri basically having a mutual hate-on that was hilarious, so I'm vaguely optimistic about the idea of opt-in condemns and finding someone to haterade with amiably BUT WHO.

RE: The Art of Lawyering
@Roz Yeah it was the worst and most grueling part of the whole thing. Bar prep was brutal. Never worked harder before or since.

RE: The Art of Lawyering
Yeah I don't care that much about what Kardashians do or don't do but if it contributes towards helping with innocent people incarcerated I'm down for whatever.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
Someone brought donuts to the child welfare roundtable and I ate one even though I knew I should not and now my guts are in revolt as I knew they would be.

RE: Spirit Lake - Discussion
In this case they're specifically a limited kind of alt, i.e., magic free, so I feel like this is just encouraging existing players to flesh out the 'small town' ambience rather than really increasing gm load any. Ymmv, I'm not staff and have no plans to alt, but it isn't like alts are open like some kind of free for all here.

@Rinel Let's not bicker and argue about who killed who.

RE: Table-top campaigns online
@Arkandel It does, although there are some books that are available in the free version. I didn't have that issue because I didn't own them, but I started out just using the free version and upgraded when I wanted more stuff. We use it because its CG is DAMN slick, especially for hooking new players who are learning the game, and we enjoy it for tracking spells / HP / inventory. Way cleaner than roll20's system. Plus we keep campaign notes and stuff in there.

RE: When To Stop Listening To Those Voices
@silverfox It's okay to not like and to want to avoid a person. It is definitely okay to give yourself permission to do this. I have also done it, and it made my life better. And I've said this before, but it also probably made better the life of the person I was avoiding. RPing with people you don't like -- for WHATEVER reason -- isn't fun, and is likely to cause stress for you and the person you don't like.
(And if the person paged me and asked what was up, I'd probably just say 'I think it is best we avoid each other.' I don't think there's anything wrong with that, either.)
That said, in these specific circumstances, I'm pretty sure I was at the scene in question and that nobody there was ignoring her poses on purpose. Unless it was a different scene than the one I think it was, in which case idk.

RE: The Work Thread
@Derp I'm literally preventing myself from getting paid by not doing this contract invoice and yet.

RE: How are you coping with COVID (and other 2020 fun)?
@sunny This is so rough, I'm sorry.
