    • RE: How are you coping with COVID (and other 2020 fun)?

@Rinel Ditto what Gany said. I can't blame you at all for having to stop the work you were doing - it was so emotionally taxing and so much investment even when the world was only normal amounts of gone to shit. I'm glad you're keeping your license up (oh fuck I better find some CLEs to do...).

You were fighting a very hard fight. This is not failure, it's tactical withdrawal. You'll live to fight another day, maybe in a different way, but somehow. You've had results to be proud of, and you changed lives in concrete ways.

I don't know what a solo defense attorney in a jurisdiction you don't practice has to offer you, but if you come up with something I'm here.

@Apos There are people whose jobs don't force them to daily interact with humanity at its worst?????

@derp I've been so bad about it this year, I'm terrified of my reporting period ending next year. Last time I ended up having to forcefeed myself like... 18 hours of downloads about weed law that was barely peripherally related to my practice. Maybe I'll be smarter in 2021.

    • RE: The ethics of IC romance, TS, etc

This is a very interesting conversation in which I do not have much to add. All of my IC romances have involved quite a bit of open OOC communication About Stuff and I have yet to really get burned by that in any significant way?? That's pretty much what I got.

    • RE: Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab

BPAL is one of my favorite places for random impulse purchases that aren't video games or dice, but WOW y'all are organized. I just have a plastic box in my sock drawer where I hoard them and apportion tiny amounts of nice smells to portion out to myself as a reward for surviving weekdays.

@sunny We used to use asana for game staffing a few years ago when I actually staffed games instead of barely remembering to RP. It's great!

@derp I also have a photograph of the vaccine card that I took right after my first shot because I posted it to the book of faces.

I'd be kind of shocked if Washington doesn't have some kind of electronic thing going on, but also ugh.

I'm not very visual generally so pbs don't impact my play much. I only care about them when it's funny, like when there are several Jason Momoas or several Jensen Ackleses.

Generally I've only rped "the weird stuff" with people I was comfortable communication with anyways. Communication is key for healthy BDSM, so.

@Derp Changing what someone has said in order to make their argument comport with your belief is so lazy an argument it is almost, almost not worth pointing out.

I've been too chickenshit to take the plunge and get myself a therapist so I can't offer a testimonial or anything, but there do appear to be resources out there.

    • RE: Diversity Representation in MU*ing

I like to play diverse characters on games in no small part because I don't like the idea that the racial/ethnic makeup of the story that my character is in will be so fricking white. Empathy is good for you.

Do agree that if everyone is white but the bad guys, problem. Also characters that are just stereotypes, gross.
