What's the story behind the ban? Inquiring minds wants to know. (Wasn't that name the same as on the BSG game where it got banned? No idea if the player was the same.)

A dude was super gross with me and when staff talked to him, he sent me a super gross non-pology. I believe he was also gross with other female players. It is not DownWithOPP. Different gross.

I apologize for my initial post. I was taken aback that I was named-and-blamed in his initial post for some bullshit he pulled, with no mention of the wrongs done to me, and then he pulled some of the nonsense he was allegedly apologizing for in PMs and I just lost it.

@mietze It's cool. I made that shit public and since it's public, it's open for comment. My final comment on his last post is that it's not up to the people who were wronged to seek him out for a conversation about whatever he thinks he needs to say.

Also, this is a largely anonymous hobby. He can start fresh whenever he wants to. If he seriously means what he says about learning about boundaries, he could MUSH with us forever and we'd never even know it was him. I guess what I'm saying is words are nice, but action is more meaningful.

He found out I was in a poly marriage and asked if I would have a Skype date with him. I said no, as I'm not really interested in anything long-distance right now. This displeased him.

The sad part is that he's a fantastic roleplayer. I actively miss scening with him. I just don't miss all the bullshit that came along with it. I hope he gets some help for his issues and becomes stronger and more stable and less bullshitty. If he came to me with an actual, earnest apology that acknowledged what he did and what he will do to prevent it happening again, I'd give him another chance.

Speaking of apologies, some of the best advice I was ever given is that a proper apology has those two parts: An acknowledgment of the wrong done and how one plans to prevent the wrong being repeated.

Yeah, he's pulled the "staff hates me" thing with me, too. I've tried to collect all of the conflicting tales he's told about his life. Here's a list so far:

• His wife died in childbirth

• He's unmarried and lonely
• He has three daughters
• He has four daughters
• He has two daughters and a son
• His daughters are in their twenties
• His daughters are teenagers
• One of his daughters tried to commit suicide
• He's in a wheelchair
• He was in the military
• He's in his thirties
• He's in his fifties

What I don't get is that this is MU. You don't have to tell anyone anything about yourself. And if you're going to make up a story, at least stick with one.

@wolfs In his defense, I mentioned the PMs before he posted them, and I have zero issue with anyone seeing the content of those PMs. I have nothing to hide here. I have spoken to both of the individuals involved, with whom I am still friends, and I have confirmed that there was no issue back then, nor is there one now. He is fabricating the whole thing. He had no reason to start PMing me to try and emotionally manipulate me. I called him out on his bullshit. It wasn't the most civil thing to do, I will admit.

@apu I will! I'm just trying to find creative ways to make a little money during a time when I can't work conventional jobs due to medical issues.

Basically, let's lay it out like this: I'm still friends with the people involved and playing on the game. You have been banned from there twice.

I'm not sure I would call all of that intentional. Maybe careless.

Okay, I'd be willing to give that the benefit of the doubt. It's just hard to, given all of the other issues.

Also, do we want to get into all of the various lies you told people about your life for sympathy? You have no high ground here, dude.

There is literally no issue with me and those players. You never apologized to me for trying to get too close with me when your character was dating Miri and then killing your character when I wouldn't do a Skype date with you. And this is something you have done to other women before. Get your story straight.

I know. And I'm someone who used to defend him until I was blue in the face. Whatever happened months ago that he's trying to emotionally blackmail me with was dealt with and everyone is cool with it. He's just trying to put me on the defensive and make me apologize to him, and it's not working.

Please stop trying to emotionally manipulate me in private messages with lies about things that happened months ago. It's not going to work.
