They had replaced him at the end of Season 4, actually. But if they retire the character in his honor, I wouldn't be surprised.

RE: RL things I love
As someone who enjoys playing Bastet when he can find a place to do it, they're not just sluts:
They're also jerks.
Imagine those guys, but with sorcery and agg-dealing claws.

That was the gag Nielsen used to make his point.
"Nice beaver!"
"Thank you, I just had it stuffed!"

RE: Fantasy MU*s?
Tried RtA, not sure I'm gonna stick with it. There's an element of Firan-esque fussiness to it that makes me uncomfortable.
Would love to see an Amber game with more modern code and more fidelity to Roger's books.

RE: Eldritch - A World of Darkness MUX
To paraphrase the late, great Leslie Nielsen, absurdism is only entertaining if the people experiencing the absurd completely buy the experience as genuine, whether that involves a deliberate suspension of disbelief or the absurd simply being your reality.
The reason it was entertaining when Joss Whedon did it is because he knew when to stop hanging lampshades and cracking jokes.
The reason everyone who's tried to imitate him, ever, in any media, is not? They don't know to do that.

Oh, she's very real, and she's been in the game longer than my mother's been alive.

I'll debate Buffy-style absurdism and how it's actually quite poisonous with you sometime, but not now--I gotta go to my soulless day job.

RE: Old Yeller
Yeah, dump it. If you like the genre enough, find some like-minded people, wait a few months and start again.

Young whippersnappers would know him as Woodhouse, among many other roles.

The fact that there's an 84 year-old jewel thief out there, who's been in the game for 50 years. She hoodwinks judges with the confused granny act, plays shell games with the countermen, and walks out with the ice.

Go get 'em, Doris.

RE: Comics Stuff
I remember flying into Newark, looking out over the water at New York and saying 'Neat!' Then looking down at Newark and saying 'Aw.' Also, Bruce Wayne is a fucking billionaire and can charter a private plane for a 30-minute flight to Metropolis if he feels like it.

Question: What are you going to do to stop groups like the Young X-Men from becoming slithering nests of underage TS?

That trailer does not give you clear knowledge of the color tint the director will be using, and these are THINGS WE NEED TO KNOW.

RE: Steam Summer 2015 sale, beware!
@Coin The best part about it is that each little Bro handles differently.
Ripley has a pulse gun that stuns enemies, and after repeated shots they burst and take out nearby doodz. Her special attack is that she sets off a plasma charge that forms a moving wall in front of her.
Conan-er, Bronan is straight-up melee, but he does a ton of damage. His special attack is that he jumps up in the air, does the Arnold scream ("UWAAAAAAAAAAA!") and sends out a radial shockwave where he lands that kills pretty much everything.
Cherry Darling's basic fire command lifts her up in the air and she basically rains down death with her gun leg. Yes, she can use it to fly. That's a feature, not a bug.
Double Bro Seven has his silenced PPK (it doesn't draw the attention of enemies) and four different specials. He starts off by throwing his martini glass (it doesn't do any meaningful damage), then he moves on to his jet pack, after that you can zap someone with his laser watch, and his last one is a disguise.

RE: Steam Summer 2015 sale, beware!
I picked up Broforce, which was on sale recently.
If you like Metal Slug, grab it. It's hella addictive. The characters are tribute/parodies of action movie heroes (and a couple of monsters). John Rambro, Bro Hard, Ellen Ripbro, the Predabro, Brobocop, and so on.
