Well, you know, make a pitch. The character I was referring to:
@prototart But I'm not gonna lie, "comes back in time from even further in the future and is a huge asshole" is pretty much Kal-L from the second season of the cartoon.
If you can play nice with others about it OOC and tell me a good story... sounds like a fun OC.
Reporting in: So far, things have gone well. Players have showed interest and we're planning to advertise the Alpha on a couple of other games.
We're still looking for a third staffer, to cover more bases. Everybody got jobs, heck, I got two of them right now.
In the interests of making it clear where ik and I actually stand on a number of issues our rules policies have been completed -- feedback on them will also be accepted.

Thanks for the interest, everybody -- have a nice day (and I mean that).
She's uh... on our list, I think. And I know our list isn't complete.
And here's the thing, I think any character can be central to the story. There's no bit players. Freakin' Reflex was a big dork, until he popped up and took advantage of the fact that Mordru is just not very bright to take him out.
Heck, one of my favorites is Dyrk Magz, who lost his powers and then became the most badass Science Police officer you could imagine, while still being a goofy jaw-droppingly handsome dorkus.
Wanna thank the people here who came and took a look. Gave me a ton of hope for the future of this project when I was worried there wouldn't be any interest.
@bobotron Subs are open for apping. Especially since they mean we might get a Polar Boy, one of one of MY alt's BFFs.
@bobotron Partial to his appearance in the Animated Series, myself. The Subs episode rocked.
Also, bear with me folks. Freshman effort, like I said. One of the reasons I'm posting here is looking for a couple of experienced voices.
@selu No worries! We can work out everything.
@Mr-Johnson try 173.11.101.153 ?
Excellent choice! We are flexible on whatever you want to do with her, but we did default Tasmia into a special role for game start, as assistant dean (the Scary One) at Legion Academy since we needed to build up some story, but again, the person playing the character gets to do as they wist.
Edit to add: Just log in as a guest whenever and prod Mandala (that's me) or or Ikaros and we'll make you a bit, since we don't have that open yet.
It depends what you're looking for. The Legion has a lot of great ladies, but they may not be readily apparent. If you want to app a Legionnaire, my advice is to go here:
https://comicvine.gamespot.com/legion-of-super-heroes/4060-19241/
And see if anyone jumps out and bites you.
If you have another DC FC in mind... well, tell me a story!
Edit: My apologies, this specifically is where you'd want to start:

OCs-OK! Generally our policy is that we encourage OC appers to start them as members of Legion Academy, which is basically... Super-Hero College. Though they're not at the centerpiece currently, there are also other groups, such as the more benevolent Lantern corps who are possibles, though there's some drama between the Lanterns and the U.P. government to be hashed out.
The Legion Era is a thousand years in the future, however there are a surprising number of DC FCs who could still be kicking around, Power Girl (being a Kryptonian) being potentially one of them. As for the others, my general policy is to say "well, tell me a story" before I say "no."
So this has been slowly making its way along since the start of the year, but after talking to my co-developer we've decided we can announce that the place is in the works.

173.11.101.153:3020 if you cannot connect above.
Legion World is a Legion of Super-Heroes-focused DC Universe MUX set in the 31st century. For those up on such things, the current plan is a sort of Canon-Inspired but not Canon-Orthodox blend of continuities, particularly the original before Glorithverse and the Reboot. Think "One Legion to Rule them All."
The game is currently in a sort of open alpha and we're looking for fresh voices and possibly a third staffer. The game is sort of a freshman effort, since it's the first game either Ikaros or I have created, so honest criticism and constructive advice isn't beyond the pale, either.
After looking at MGX, it seems to be more-or-less what I was looking for, maybe not exactly the era, but the idea of it.
I am late to the Nazi party but I once wound up sitting next to a Neo-Nazi on a Greyhound for a trip to another city to take a class (that's another story... a boring one).
He asked me what I thought about National Socialism. Since there weren't any other seats, I dissembled a bit. Then he asked me what I thought about Dark Shadows. I like Dark Shadows, OK.
This Neo Nazi went on for the rest of the bus ride about how he and his father loved Dark Shadows and used to watch it together and he talked at length about the tattoo of Barnabas Collins he was going to get.
It was the oddest bus ride of my life.
@derp The Vivienne can also be difficult to pull off, because she's a sniffy manipulative bitch, which can be just the WORST without her being softened by a little humanity (like Vivienne was).
Also, it helps if she's right about pretty much everything (like Vivienne was, again).
Here's the thing, and it's the thing a lot of vampire players don't get -- if you are there to be the villain, you have to not be one when you're off the clock.
On superhero games, honestly I think there should be a policy of characters who traditionally fall into antagonist roles being evaluated on a one for one basis to determine whether they're viable long-term PCs.
Magneto? Yes. He's been an X-Man as often as he's been tilted against them.
Mystique? Possibly... she's eminently treacherous and players have done a lot of gross stuff with her. Needs a lot of thought first.
Apocalypse? Naw. Constant exposure to Apocalypse kills his heat.
Mr. Sinister? Hell no. He gets brought out for a plot with staff keeping a close eye on it and then put away again. Anyone who wants to play Essex long term is a creep until proven innocent, at this point. And I loves me some Sinister after Oscar Wilde.
