I'm fairly sure that the phrase "the SJW staff came at the poor innocent people" is a big fuckin' clue about who @HelloProject was talking about.

@Auspice There's actually a reason we do that, though.
Go oooon....
Not to that extreme, obviously. But the idea is to encourage the kind of mindset that looks for reason and meaning in text, even when it is not evident. Why was X written this way? What is the author trying to make you think? Etc.
You know, the kind of thing the world needs more of when consuming media.

@Kanye-Qwest I like old grape juice that was stored in a barrel for a while.
That still counts, right?

POCs were definitely a thing in medieval Europe, and the only people claiming otherwise are white supremacists pushing an ideal all-white European age of glory that never existed.
In general, absolutely. In specific... it's sometimes spotty. But if you specifically set your game in a place and/or time that doesn't have POCs... then you've got to be exceptionally careful, and damn sure you can't tell your story elsewhere/elsewhen.

@Kestrel You can turn that off in the Notification section of the settings menu.

5 Parents. We're not replacement parents, and yet we are often expected to teach things that are in the wheelhouse of subjective experience, and cannot be taught by rote in a school.

Hopefully I can keep my shit together and not be a blubberer until I'm in the car driving home after getting him settled!!
Not a parent and never will be, so I'm honestly asking: is this a moment where your kids can be your friends, and share the responsibility of adult relationships with you by supporting your emotional needs?
Yes and no. Both parent and child are going through an emotional situation. Support can happen, of course, but it has to be both ways.

So while it is a fascinating time, it's not really a 'game' friendly theme, I don't think.
It could be, under very strict circumstances of a small group interacting with the world itself. More of an online TableTop sort of deal rather than a MU. It would need to be based on trust and understanding and an exceedingly limited number of participants with active GM involvement.

Just because I choose not to argue with you about this does not mean that I think that you're right.
That's not how the internet works.

'Cancel culture' is nothing more than the right's latest replacement for 'political correctness'.
It honestly isn't just that.
There absolutely is a history of internet overreaction to a misunderstanding that results in suffering for innocent people.

RE: Euphoria - Feedback
It's too fast paced. I don't connect for a couple of days and so much has been done that participating at all feels like I'm playing catchup.

RE: Selling people on MU*'s strikes me as impossible
@Lotherio Probably. We've had so many of those in the past year or so that I expect most of us have just gone into our holes and pretend the other stuff doesn't exist.
ETA: They've also done the old "why isn't anyone making games" thing. So either this person is simply very ignorant, or they're trolling. Or both.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@Auspice Historically speaking, that is the eventual outcome of tooth pain.

it's the usual troll. I mean c'mon he's done this cycle before.
Step 1: post 'woe why isn't anyone making games / RPing' in Gripes.
Step 2: reply to someone in an RL-related thread to commiserate and try to engage them
Step 3: Start making mostly pointless threads in Mildly Constructiveit's bait. don't bother. he'll go full racism within 36 hours.

I have an RL peeve.
When did I become old enough that my detachment from pop culture is expected, rather than something worth commenting on?
When have you ever been attached to pop culture?
That's almost exactly the point my post made. It's now not noteworthy, it's expected that I'm out of touch because I'm old.

@SixRegrets No game is drama free, least of all if it's talked about here.

@Ganymede Tell them to build trench and baffles, like that airport in Amsterdam.
