RE: Thundergulch
I am reminded of the (admittedly paraphrased) saying about how women to behave themselves rarely make history, for some reason.

RE: An Apology to BSO and BSU.
Wait. Skype dates? That kind of sounds familiar. Did this guy also play Zachary on BSO, by chance?

RE: Seraphim73's Playlist
Ah man. Fifth World. Had some great RP and made some awesome friends, there.

RE: RL things I love
I am really loving 5th edition. It is simplified enough to make it easy to jump into, especially for new players, without being so watered/pared down that it feels overly-diluted and too simple to veterans. Finished my first 5th ed campaign as a player a few weeks ago (yay for OTT and Roll20!), and will be playing a dragonborn, forge domain cleric in the next one we're starting on the 3rd.

RE: An Apology to BSO and BSU.
It works if someone is trusting and naive and inclined to believe something said is the truth until proven to be otherwise.

RE: Surasanji's Playlist
I remember Benjamin on UU as well! He was a lot of fun. Can't remember who I was when we RPed what few times we did, though. Almost want to say I was Cissie King-Jones but not quite sure. Always wondered what happened to you!

RE: New Comic/Superhero Themed MU*
I am personally for it. Even if things don't work out exactly as planned and shit happens at least the intention to try and not let things be the way things are on so many mu*s is there, which I appreciate.
I say go for it. The worst that can happen is that things don't work out. But you'll never know if it'll succeed or not unless you try, right? Let me know when this is up and I'll definitely come check it out.

RE: An Apology to BSO and BSU.
Oh. I am sorry. I'll be sure to do so ASAP.

RE: Realms - Sir Kay - Lotherio
Oh! I wasn't saying @Lotherio is one of those crazy wizzes, just that I felt I knew who he was being mistaken for.

@wildbaboons said in RL things I love:
He started off by asking if anyone had been to a tournament before and everyone said no except for one kid that raised his hand and proclaimed, "No, but I've watched the Karate Kid!"
Completely true story. I was watching Cobra Kai a couple of weeks ago and on my way home I was dropping a coworker friend off (he's in his late 20s) at his place so we were chatting about it.
I asked him if he had watched Karate Kid. He said, and I quote, "yeah, that's the one with the black kid."

RE: Questionably viable character types and tropes (tangent from staff ethics convo)
Ah! Yes. I see what you're saying now. That is definitely a horse of a different color.

RE: Realms - Sir Kay - Lotherio
There was one good thing that came out of my somewhat-friendship/staffing with Nermal and that was my seeing how horribly manipulated I can be by people and twisted into being the kind of person I don't like. Think I became a better person from that.

RE: Dead Celebrities 2018
Oh no! Koko! I am genuinely more sad about her passing than I have been over a lot of the celebs.

RE: Flights 'n Tights MUX
I am not outraged at all, nope. I am all for people doing what they want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. I just was kind of scratching my head over how it seemed like they were wanting to be welcoming and inclusive when it didn't really feel like they were being the latter considering the very limited role female characters are allowed to assume although maybe it's just a case of me not understanding.

RE: Characters You Enjoyed Playing
Here are a few who I really enjoyed playing as and miss a lot:
Alessandra@BSCerberus: She kind of got to be something of a Mary Sue/Starbuck kind of character for how much of almost everything she got involved in, but I wouldn't change that about her for anything. Of all the characters I've RPed as over the 18 years of mu*ing, she is one of the few I really was able to get into the head of and really got to experience a lot of good character development and immersion as a result.
Kitty@Serenity Mush: Again, a character I had a lot of fun RPing as. She was kind of my way of thumbing my nose at staff for not letting me RP as Kaylee! She wound up being her in spirit if nothing else. Again, another character I really had a lot of fun as.

RE: The Apology Thread
I didn't mean you, hun. But a lot of other people seem to be interested in picking everything in the OP's first post apart and then picking apart everything everyone else says and... it's kind of becoming a self-perpetuating, never-ending thing.
