    • ISO Collaborators for Shadowrun

Presuming that I can get the code from a soirce, I am looking to leave the CofD behind me for a while and work on a Shadowrun 5 game. However, my usual suspects don't really know SR and so I am looking for some people interested in possibly helping out.

Evil Reed from 1610 is actually a currently used villain in the books iirc.

So we could potentially bring in characters from outside Marvel, provided they aren't super Godlike?

@tragedyjones I think the main challenge these days would be giving people things to RP about while not on a run.

Obviously I need to create multiple factions for both intra and interested factional pissing contests.

      Runs everyday.

      Make it happen.

(I know nothing about shadowrun beyond 'cyberpunk'.)

      Get better pantyhose.

    • What would you want in a Shadowrun game?

If you were to play on a Shadowrun game, what would you look for?

Assume for a moment we are talking the most recent full edition (5).

      • Chargen Method (Priority, Sum to 10, Point Buy, Modules)

      • Setting (Seattle, Denver, Tokyo, London, etc)

      • Metaplot (Should there be one?)

      • Should people be required to BE runners?

      • How often would you want to go on runs vs have social scenes?

      • In-game Nuyen tracking: Y/N?

      • What supplements would you include?

So is this set in the current Marvel Universe? If so, are you allowing the FF or are they in limbo?

Speaking of Mr. Robot, Rami Malek picked up a best actor in a drama Emmy win last night.

If I was more focused on RP lately I'd try and learn the game's systems. Maybe someday.

I'm not trying to say that Mr. Robot is the best show of the summer, but there aren't any better summer shows.

Full disclosure, I am NOT someone who generally is aware of things that make TV great - costume design, sound editing, cinematography, shot composition, score, etc.

I notice these things in Mr. Robot. More than any other show I can recall, this show captures its atmosphere and mood superbly and with a tense sense of foreboding I can't escape.

Also, the acting is top notch.

If WW can have a better release schedule than OP, I may actually try and force myself back to WoD over Chronicles of Darkness. This makes me cry.

I need to do a bit more reading on the setting and come up with a concept. If anyone wants to be a Raider of the husk of new York, let me know.

Note that Resilience would be no protection against Butchery, Resilience explicitly allows the application of tilts still.

My Mekhet with strength 2 on Eldritch was built to be able to kill a Werewolf. Not originally, but eventually he ran afoul of them and was able to acquire some silver bullets, and get Marksmanship and Quicken Sight. Celerity, reflexive aim, shoot, and then run tf away. Obfuscate is the ultimate murder tool, after all.

@Ganymede Yes, a Rahu with Purity 5 will fuck most things up. But that is the apex of Rahu.

@Autumn Yes they are nice, but they aren't inherently better than, say, a gun. There are much better uses for magic than simply throwing a fireball at someone. But yes, if you need to, you can fireball the fuck out of someone, given a few moments to prep!
