This may be the wrong place to ask, but, when I compose a message the bottom of the text box is hidden and I cannot scroll down to find it, leaving me to type blind. This is mostly an issue when composing a reply.

Did you say Strexcorp Sinergists Inc?

(Cobalt should like this; it's from Welcome to Night Vale. Hell, did someone mention a Werewolf merging of the Strix, a la Pentex?)
WtF2e actually mentions the Strix in a sidebar under 'Tengu'. In a very 'really weird but useful allies sometimes folded into packs' sort of way. They beat us to this one.
There are differences between the Strix and the Tengu. It's probably going to be more of a, "if the ST wants, they can be the same thing, but they aren't necessarily so by default" or something.
Is there? The only tengu reference I know of is the sidebar, so that was really just a "wink wink nudge nudge" as far as I knew.

...As I understand it the 'take back Ireland' movement was something of a plot-point.
Elves aren't smug, salad-munching racist hypocrites except they totally are.
It would be fun to play a Troll who styles himself a Formorian. WE WERE THERE FIRST.
Any chance you can point to a book or a link that explains Ireland and the Tir more?
The most recent write-up of Tir no Nog would be in the 6th World Atlas for 4th Edition. I played a HUman Merc in 4E who was IRISH and left the island for the UCAS. I liked him a loit actually.

RE: Fallout to WoD Conversion
My tabletop group did a brief not heavily converted WoD Fallout game, so I know it can work. But yes I admit it may not be the BEST option.
Of systems I personally know, Shadowrun is the crunchiest. And does have, more or less, Powered Armor.

On a different topic. What are your plans for Bloodlines? Updating them custom (or borrowing from somewhere that has done some), or skipping them entirely like Eldritch? (I don't think this has come up in the thread before, but if it has, feel free to call me horrible names.)
Shank @tragedyjones in the eye when he tries to cut out the Zelani.
Current plans are to implement everything BUT Zelani.

RE: Random GMC game brainstorming
Everything is ST intensive now. More so than it was before, anyway.
Vampire/Werewolf are natural pairings.
Demon/Mage can work.
Changeling/Demon might work. -
RE: nWoD2 (GMC) support systems?
Oh hey @Cobaltasaurus, this is higher end "designer" code I guess, but if there was a system that could calculate your weapon(s) into initiative, since everyone, myself included, forgets them...

RE: nWoD2 (GMC) support systems?
- Condition/Tilt Code (exists)
- Aspiration Code (exists)

It's Fuzion which often hurts my feelings though Atomic was, if I recall, a very good creator for Fuzion.
In case you wonder, Fuzion is a mix of Cyberpunk/Mekton and Hero System.
IIRC, Fuzion was also used for the DBZ RPG.

RE: ShadowRun 5E ... 2050
I am totally down with that, but also just being able to really sink my teeth into the setting of Shadowrun appeals to me.

Not much in the way of news this week, but here is some Changeling stuff for y'all to enjoy

RE: ShadowRun 5E ... 2050
Shadowrun needs to be a thing again. There should be a place where I want to simply just do casual Bar RP.

RE: Selecting a system to play
The Beaten Down system usually only applies to mortals though. Kindred, Demons, and DEFINITELY Uratha will straight kill a fool, sometimes against their own better judgment and desires.

In the homebrew system I'm cobbling together slowly, combat becomes an exercise in inflicting Tilts/Conditions/Statuses on each other until one gets an "exceptional" success over the other, thus ending the combat. The system is not crunchy at all, and it's designed that way. I've tried to emphasize the importance of tactical choices, and incorporate Tech-based and Biotic attacks.
So, for instance, if you're playing a Tech-heavy Engineer PC and meet a Krogan Battlemaster, you're not going to be able to beat him in ranged or close physical combat. But you could use your Omni-Tool to tag him with a few Tilts/Conditions/Statuses to make him defenseless, and then put him down with a pistol whip.
I don't know how it works, as I haven't read the leaks, but I think Exalted 3E is supposed to be vaguely similar, in that it tracks the momentum and flow of combat more than the specific damage done.

RE: Random GMC game brainstorming
There are numerous ways to gain beats in GMC without needing to add any, though you could. Depending on splat, there are 4-5 ways east. Conditions, Aspirations, Damage, Dramatic Failure, Breaking Points. The core rules also implement a system for "automatic" XP in the end of session beats, which I feel is a fine way to justify at least a trickle of auto-xp.
As for staff intensiveness, I know Reno has a +beat command that players can use to submit for a job and it automatically awards them the requisite XP. I am sure @Cobaltasaurus is at least skilled enough to copy that.

Yeah, WoD is done to death, but:
The code already exists in multiple forms, and I do what I know.

Fallout to WoD Conversion
Because I am not currently running a MU, and I am considering a future project, I was curious it anyone was interested in doing some ground work with me to convert the setting and flavor of the Fallout Games to World of Darkness 2nd Edition mechanics?
Basic Presumptions:
- Mortals are the baseline
- Nothing Supernatural
- Perks to be merits?
- Flat minor-template style adjustments for Supermutants/Ghouls?

RE: Dust to Dust (Formerly the nWoD grenade thread)
Not going to lie... I never knew why they were called "Spheres".

Yes. When I began this thread it had two purposes: to brilliantly satire certain aspects of the community and to.see some titties. Nothing weird!
