and I guess if you're an actual sports person, the constant come-from-behind wins are pretty dumb and Coach Taylor frequently makes lulzy decisions on the field

This is pretty much how it is for me and it really kills the show. I couldn't get through the first season, partly because whatever they do well with the interpersonal relationships they ruin by not continuing the shows strengths once they go back to football. Its like when you see really bad CGI in a movie with a really good story. You can't take the rest of the movie seriously, even if it is good otherwise.

@ThatGuyThere I guess that's true. I hate that mentality though. To me, it seems like it would be even more of an accomplishment to win in this kind of fashion by doing it differently. After all this time no one else could do it like this? But you did? That's amazing. More than that, its notable.

To be honest, I didn't really think of them as different, though I've heard people say that. I haven't followed them that much so there's probably stuff I'm missing. I know they don't have a giant guy down low, but "small ball" has worked in the past for championship teams. But there hasn't been a 3 point shooter like Steph Curry in forever, so if they are doing it differently, that's probably why it hasn't worked before.

Also, while we praise Curry and his game, is there any word on Kevin Durant's big time mental collapses at the crucial ending moments last night when the Thunder could have put the game away? What was he thinking? Not as bad as the Bengals in the playoffs, but pretty bad.

@Admiral Yeah, from listening to you talk about your job, I'd probably also rather be unemployed that deal with what you deal with. But good for her for at least giving it a shot before coming to the same conclusion.

I think its gonna be a forever triangle of Tate beating Holm, Rousey beating Tate, and Holm beating Rousey.

I don't care what anyone thinks. I liked everything about Fuller House! Well, only the first episode, but still. It was great nostalgia reunion fun!

Seriously. Don't tell me things and then get angry when I deny you sales.

No. I'm not going to sell you things on someone else's food card. If its your wife's why isn't she in using it? Or just go through self check out. Jesus.

Also, no. If you tell me you're buying alcohol through your neighbor I'm not going to sell it to you. I don't care if he's 70. If he isn't with you for me to verify that I'm not selling it! I'm not losing my job for you.

Ugh. And yes, please through a tantrum and leave all of your groceries all over my belt, so I have to clean it up before I can help the next person in line. Because I want to make your life difficult by not selling you the beer. If you just kept your mouth shut it would have been fine.

Seriously. Don't tell your cashiers shit like "oh the beer isn't for me".

It is amazing how many people just expect someone else to just commit this crime for them and treat you like shit if you won't. How self-involved do you have to be to not only ask a stranger to put themselves at financial and criminal risk just so you can get a buzz, but to then be upset when they don't?

@Three-Eyed-Crow You're right to note that this is not just a US problem. Many societies have been dealing with similar issues in their respective countries. There's a push back against the globalization 'one world' type of society and it tends to outweigh other deciding factors (like logic and reason and history and facts).
