@Coin What do you mean by an "actual chance"? Shooting a pilot at all is a pretty big deal. Having it aired is even a bigger deal. Most pilots never get that chance before they are decided on.

@GreenFlashlight Season 9 had an episode called Bloodlines which was very Vampire Diaries. Took place in Chicago. I don't even think Sam or Dean were in the episode. If you didn't double check you might think some other show was on instead. Season 13 had Wayward Sisters (or something like that) with Jodie and her girls. Both of those episodes were pilots that went all the way through production and aired, specifically for the purpose of being a spinoff. Neither got any interest, but the characters from Season 13 were kept around as recurring on the main show. Meanwhile, no one ever heard from the characters on Bloodlines ever again.
Then there were a handful of other tries and ideas that never made it far enough to get all the way through airing a pilot. I'm not sure how far in the process those got, though. Supposedly, they put a lot of effort into trying though. But it never stuck.

@Aria I love this show. But I disagree that the show is trash. Most of the plots and storylines are trash - the Leviathans being my least favorite, yes. However, I think the writing is actually better than people give it credit for. It leans into the bad dialogue and overused tropes to reuse things in new and unexpected ways. And, of course, the last 10 or so seasons are very different from the first 2-3.
But where they've really shined is making likable main characters and supporting characters and that's what has kept it around as long as they have. That's why longtime fans of the show are fans. Over time, you grow to love these two brothers whereas if you only sat down for a handful of episodes you'd likely pass on it.
Unfortunately for the producers, it is also the main reason their multiple attempts at spinoffs (3?) have repeatedly failed. People don't love Supernatural as a TV show. They love Sam and Dean (and Cass!). No one wants anything to do with a Supernatural show without Sam and Dean. And in the same vein, if you don't like Sam and Dean (probably because of some undiagnosed mental issue!) you won't like Supernatural.
From all appearances, it is a formula they blundered into - then keenly took advantage of when they recognized that people responded to it in order to last 15 seasons (US network 20~ episode seasons, not these pidly 6-10 newfangled seasons so many shows are doing now). That's no fluke. If you can connect with that thing that they do so well, then you're lucky enough to have 300+ episodes of a fun show to savor. If not, you won't miss much anyway. I, however, will miss it when it is gone.

Yeah, I liked that game. Last online game I played I think I was the scion of like, John Henry, or something. I guess he qualified as a god. I can't remember who I played last time in tabletop but it was someone Norse, I think. Fun times.
From what I remember, great for a MU*, so online tabletop is just the right fit.

That used to happen to me often. My story isn't a great one.
I used to get angry and frustrated about it, but not much good came from it. You can't win against things like that, especially if you're coming at it with negative feelings.
Eventually, I just left MU* games altogether and moved to local and online tabletops. But the really shitty thing is that I loved MU*s the most and wouldn't want to give up on them. So I keep coming back every now and then to see if things are different, only to be disappointed. But only slightly, because my expectations are very low.

And if you are going by character height in cannon, well, Hugh Jackman was almost a foot taller than Logan is supposed to be, and he seemed to do just fine.
Matter of opinion there...
I don't believe you can take a core character concept away from a character and still consider it to be good. Fox Studios believed a superhero wasn't much more than their powers and that's (one of a few reasons) why their superhero franchises failed and continue to fail, especially versus other Marvel titles.
Sometimes height has nothing to do with a character. But sometimes it really does. I don't know enough about She-Hulk to know whether it applies, but I trust the Disney Marvel people to keep the core of her character intact and handle it appropriately.

@Arkandel It hasn't been on him in a long time. There have been numerous chances to either remove, censure, balance, or put him in check and they've all been passed up by the systems the US has in place and the people elected by those systems - both in 2016 and in 2018.
So regardless of what you call the US, yes, it deserves exactly whatever it chooses.

It took a little bit to get on board with the Ares combat system, but everything else about it has been amazing for me out of the box from online interaction outside of a MU client to all the new cool stuff I keep finding. Pretty cool, yo.

The only thing people have done is normalize the idea of being negative to their friend groups - which is a rather normal, standard-practice unhealthy relationship dynamic. The same people calling their friends the N-word are also calling them bitches, motherfuckers, etc. I have yet to hear the N-word used in a positive context.
So is that the way some people talk to each other? Yes. Is it still highly offensive? Yes.
Relevance: If you're wondering if you should use that language because it makes your POC character more authentic, don't please. There's plenty of other foul language terms to use if that's how your character relates to others.

Just keep in mind there are many flavors of POC who also have many flavors of culture. A lot of people forget the distinction between skin color and culture. I know a few white dudes with chocolate frosting. I know a few chocolate dudes with white frosting. They are people too.
Don't let fear of 'getting it wrong' stop you from playing a POC character. If you want to play it safe, just play to what you know and the skin color won't matter.
