Staff really did have it out for Leka. Tho they vehemently claimed not to, but they would go over every action she made with a microscope. A lot of players did too. "Augh she threw an Ashtray at me! Freehold law breach!"

Both she and Tori looked young despite being of age both IC and with the models they chose. They referred to friends and family by familial names (Ernst was either Uncle Bad Touch or Daddy.) Which I thought was both creepy and kinda awesome. But I like changeling showing various damage, especially when it's uncomfortable shit. Other people assume it's some pedo perversion. (Seriously, the amount of people who thought Leka was some pedo fantasy was silly)

Ernst was all about Fear, especially when it came to fearing him (Pride Vice, he never bought Fleeting Autumn 5, because it turned you into someone/thing else, he wanted people to fear him alone.) The Fear Wardens main too /was/ fear, but it was something to be used if ones Questions weren't being answered. Ernst would often set his Interviews in a creepy place, in the dark, with scary dogs lurking about, but his demeanor was usually calm, questions simple. Only when people got all in yer face uppity did he dial it up. Other people tended to start at 11 and wonder why folks got upset. Not that Ernies own tactics weren't polarizing.

Oh, just about anything by Cherie Priest. First one I read was about Steampunk Zombies in Seattle. Taking place around the Civil War, She also has a series with an OCD Vampire catburgler, and some other odd macabre period pieces. All of it really good stuff, I enjoy her writing immensely.

Sunshine /was/ really good. I havn't read anything else by the author, but Sunshine was fantastic.

Yesss! These were a favorite growing up. Convoluted as fuck, but excellent.

I really enjoy the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith hunter for urban Fantasy. Also Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson and Kimm Harrisons Rachael Morgan Series. The latter starts iffy but really picks up.

My level of peevetasticness with the twinking usually depends on more the player than the stats. I will freely admit if I see a new player pop up, peek at their wiki and see that they have a column with stats listed and there are 6 stats maxxed out at 5, I get a little eyerolly. It's so very batman, I am the best at all these things! In the world! With TR you get 100% Xp for new chars, and I just plain don't get the appeal of dropping a char on the grid with no room to grow in what he/she does. This is of course personal opinion. There are some, Olsson's pc was mentioned, that work hard not to steal the spotlight, that can be badasses of doom that don't have their own head up their ass, while there are others that I just sigh heavily to myself when they enter a room, preparing to grit my teeth.

Then there are the folks that have the stats but don't actually play them. I'm talking to you every Str 5 waif out there. Under 5 Foot with Maxxed physicals and the scrawniest PB in the world, really?

Personally I prefer more rounded characters in my MU's, but when I MMO I minmax the fuck out. Different mediums.
