RE: MU Things I Love
@surreality I will never be able to afford a cintique, I usually get refurbished wacom tablets on amazon, usually a generation behind.

RE: MU Things I Love
@surreality Yeah I also spend too much on mice. the 12 side button MMO mice are amazing, especially if you get the mechanical buttons and they light up and and... ugh. Even if I'm not playing an MMO, most PC games I can make do, just having everything at a thumb click. hnngh.

RE: MU Things I Love
@surreality Oh hello there, how /you/ doin'. Mechanical, Backlit, /and/ fancy neat looking? You wanna come to my hotel room at 3 am for an audition you sexy keyboard you...

RE: MU Things I Love
@surreality pets his Corsair K70 RGB. and his backup one that he got when he spilled water/tea on the first (PSA: Uncapping and burying a keyboard in rice for a week works!)

RE: Armageddon MUD
This thread reminds me of another game that got talked about here that i cannot, for the life of me, remember the name of.
I remember that apparently 'raping people' was just part of how the game went.
What? You didn't like being raped? Ugh you are so not a team player. Getting raped in the butt yer first night on grid is what we all went through, it's just part of the game, why cant you accept it? You dont like my edgy rape stalker guy? Ugh such a whiner.

RE: Social Awkwardness?

Hovering behind me is my big 'do not do' thing. It legit freaks me out and ramps my anxiety up tenfold if there's someone just... lurking around behind me looking over my shoulder. I had to tell my boss to stop it because it makes me nervous. Not because its him, but just.. A person standing behind me.
My entire setup at home is to avoid this, I even have a screen divider to lock away my computer corner. Save for when the wife and I are watching shows. That seems to be the loop hole, she has the recliner a little to the left and behind, and we sit and watch things together. usually with dinner. But if she lingers or hangs out while I am MUing or Gaming or Drawing... it sets my skin crawling and my anxiety through the roof.

RE: Good TV
There are time where if i find a good show, I will binge it without my wife, and then watch it again with her. The reason being is that, while I love my wife, i want to enjoy the show and get hella enganged in it without having to pause while she asks me questions like 'Who is that' and 'Where are they' to which I inevitably have to answer 'My Love, we both just started watching this, i have the exact same amount of information, just watch the show!' But you know, with more specialized language because of our many many years together. So now whenever there's a show I really wanna see, I totally skip ahead, I'm just prepared to watch it again for our hanging out together time.

RE: Fate's Harvest BETA Live (Full Open Soon)
I have been asked to inform that it is no longer beta, but fully open, Yay.

RE: Mass Effect: Andromeda: The Thread
@ixokai WHAT?! ...
Well, this changes everything.

RE: Mass Effect: Andromeda: The Thread
So I just managed to Romance 2 crew members at once, softcore full frontal porno scenes and all, complete with confessions of undying monogamous love. I dunno if this is a feature, or that I put off the Journey to Meridian mission for sooooooo long (it's the mission that you need to do before the Final Unf unf scene happens). So now i am 'exclusive' with Peebee and Cora.

Annoyance:
All the environment change notices on the ice planet. Sam is babbling my ear off. Its cold. Its normal. Its cold. Its normal. I run by a heater, its normal. I take two steps away, its cold again. Two steps more, another heater.
I GET IT OKAY LEAVE OFF UNLESS IT GETS SUPER DUPER COLD
It's worse on Eladeen. A tree puts you in shade for .5 seconds. All the dialogue.

RE: Logging your activity
I chose the 'I would die without logging everything', but mostly I just set up an Autologger and let it go. it has come in handy more times than I can count as a staffer and player.

MAN. I was so clear, the clue was so obvious, but they didn't even LOOK at the newspaper. Why would there have been a newspaper in a high tech building?! Wouldn't they have realized everyone had a computer or whatever to look at the news???
Like, what? Yeah, in this case the assumption itself was very obviously faulty, but even if it wasn't, you just do not know what knowledge/information the players are coming to the table with. They might not KNOW that in places like this, newspapers are rare, for all that you think it's common sense. It's not, and not because your players are dense, either.
I was having a conversation about jsut this thing the other night. Well clearly this thing i keep adding to my poses would be obvious to /ME/, why aren't my players getting it, i'm like beating them other the head with it.
Alternately: Describing a scene and adding detail and players latching on to the most innocuous details, and then putting in jobs and asking to roll for prophetic visionary dreams just because you described a crack in the glass of a toaster oven. I am having to learn to just tell people that no, that is a dead end.

Fate's Harvest BETA Live (Full Open Soon)
This is not my game, but the game of a friend who has spent nearly 2 years on it, learning code as she went. It's pretty damned Awesome, and you should check it out.
Fate's Harvest is (finally) entering Beta! Yay! Confetti! http://fatesharvest.com fatesharvest.com : 6464
We are a Changeling/Mortal+/Mortal game using 'Changeling: the Lost' v1.0 (okay, more like 1.5) and modified GMC rules. Set in Vermont, most non-Hedge play will take place in the imaginary city of Fort Brunsett and, atop the nearby cliffs, the small and far too knowledgeable mountain town of Tamarack Falls. Also imaginary.
The Freehold of Fate's Harvest is about to reach its second birthday. It is also about to learn just why the valley of Tamarack Falls was ripe for the picking...
The MUX is designed to be a place where players can explore the themes and struggles of Changelings reaching the ends of their journeys, be they those who chase their dreams back to Arcadian arms or those they leave behind. High Wyrd is as common as low, as are the dangers it invites. Either road has consequences. Are they worth the price?
Accepted templates include:
Changeling, Fetch, Psychic, Thaumaturge, Fae-touched, Enchanted and Ensorcelled.
Seasonal, Solar and Transitional Courts are permitted.
All player-alts are linked to a personal Master Account.
Arcade Tickets are given past the weekly XP activity cap, an account-wide currency which can be traded in to purchase a number of minor boosts, items, private channels or even the chance to design and play a plot antagonist as a limited-life PC.
Check the wiki for more details!
GOALS DURING BETA:
All Alpha player bits have been deleted.
The intent is to keep Beta short. Our current plan for full launch is March 20th, 2017, to be kicked off with the Spring Crowning event.
In the meanwhile, we want to make sure everything is squeaky clean and working as it should be! Beta is for determining whether or not our policies and systems are up to snuff, our write-ups are clear, and that we haven't, you know, left any great gaping holes for people to drive Sherman tanks through.
Big note! ALL kith blessings have been re-written for balance and added utility. Tweaks may be made during Beta if our brilliant ideas end up less brilliant. Feedback is desired! Try to build a monster.

RE: Superhero Games: Quest For Villain PCs
@Arkandel said in Superhero Games: Quest For Villain PCs:
Why I would have it like that? It's because I wouldn't want to see the Red Skull doing random bar scenes or hanging out with random people just because I have the character, I'm bored, and I want to play him. Overuse breeds familiarity and the character becomes less menacing if you've met him fifty times, or a joke if that's 50 times you had to listen through his racist bite-less tirades.
