RL things I love

@Sunny My opinion of you because of this story kind of went up a lot.
Well, I have a leadership role in a business area that does incoming calls for the rest of the agency -- I can't say it's call center work because there are so many differences -- and I know how it can be. This girl was spot on. Textbook best business practices. We're talking checking back in with me while I was on hold, and not sounding at all resentful about it. Calling me back, because we got disconnected. Asking my permission to put me on hold. Listened to me vent my issue, then asked questions. Tone and word choice, she owned my problem and she was going to get it fixed.
If one of my employees managed a call as perfect as that, I would want to know. That's stuff you ought to get put in your file.
ETA: She paraphrased my problem back to me, too. I knew there was one more thing.

@Silver Laser Unicorns has amped the awesome. They just released a retro-80s arcade style fist-fighting game called Kung Fury: Street Rage.

I like this.
Please let it be.
(This will be moved to RL Pet Peeves if Bethseda is just jerking us around.)

@Coin
I have never been so glad to be wrong in my life. I figured he would weather this storm. -

Days off where you do nothing and work doesn't call you and you have nothing to do. OMG. It's pure bliss.

Fitting into not 1 but three size 8 dresses, all by different designers. I haven't seen a single digit size in I don't even remember. Not even in my 20s.

Scheduling out my week, even though I rarely stick with it.
Something about planning is cathartic, despite how life usually ruins a detailed schedule/plan. -
Getting to muck about with Python to prototype a "game" for MU* use. At work.

This yarn. :3 The colorway is so cute and Easter eggy and using a light colored yarn is way easier to see on. I am shocked, but I love it so.

Getting back into old, fun hobbies.
Friends of mine got me to come out and play casual MtG last weekend. It was a blast.
Also, Marvel, you will forever redeem yourself if THIS REMAINS A PERMANENT THING AFTER SECRET WARS.

RL love one - People posting on this board! -- I love positivity.
RL love two - Random acts of kindness.
RL love three - People who invest their time with me. This is either through texting, calls, or in person. I don't think we say thank you enough to people that take time out of their lives for us. -
Interview today for mega awesome job, feeling super about it. Weight dropped this morning. Dress fits better than in the store. My skin has decided to be amazing. Humidity is decent so hair is not frizzballs. Cute shoes are cute. I'm totally going to own this.

Getting back to my professional roots. I gave up on embedded systems and moved into mainstream software decades ago. I burned out so badly from this that I gave up ALL software 15 years ago. Now I'm back making embedded software and … WTF did I leave this for? This is incredibly fun!

From the Random Bitching thread, conversation about manliness brought this to mind. Highly recommend.

@Rook I used that website back when I was learning to shave with a straight razor.

Swimming. Man I love swimming.

Their giving space to some self-promoting survivalist makes me roll my eyes, but they did teach me how to talk to my barber, how to tie a full-windsor knot, and a lot of other dressing and grooming tips that I think my father would have told me once I was grown up if he had still be alive. (Too bad that he probably would have had to wait until I was in my 40s before I would have listened to him.)
