To be frank, I'm not sure if hurt is the right word for it. It's exhausting. It's probably not quite the same as the sexism and the racism, but living with the constant thought of "what will I tell the kids if she doesn't come home?" is something I could do without.
I get alternately tired and angry at times. I've been more irritable as of late. But things are getting better, professionally. It's really nice to get credit card records showing your adversary in a divorce case has been on a dating site since before the divorce was filed.

In the first week of my new position with my company, I performed well enough that when the PM and client chose someone to have permissions/access to handle billing issues for users (cancelling, refunds, etc.), they chose me.
Any other job and this may be a 'RL Love,' but with my company it's just sort of par for the course. I'll get more work dumped on me and private accolades from my boss, but that's it. No raise. No public acknowledgement.
I'm angry at myself for performing well and that's what sucks. I can't stop thinking 'I should have been lazier.'

Got messaged by boss and told not to go in because sick. I'll have to go in on Sunday to make up the hours (since, again, no PTO and I desperately need the money), but at least I can now curl up on the sofa with tea and nap to TV.

Fuck people who make microwave popcorn in office microwaves. Like, if you want to go stink up the break room, fine. If you plug in a microwave near your desk and nuke this fake butter nonsense, fuck you.

That's the problem with so many of those. A lot of the 'new miracle drugs' for fibro / chronic pain have the same issues. That they cause suicidal thoughts, etc... it's why I won't go near them.
I hate when doctors mislead you like that.
Are these the Black Box warnings? Many many medications that help depression, anxiety, chronic pain, etc have them, because there can be an escalated risk of suicide especially during the time it takes for the medication to start truly doing it's job. Everyone has to make their own calls with their doctors, but the warning alone is pretty common...it's just a message to doctors that these medications need to be used with caution and with close monitoring at the beginning.
Man I really want to know what the new miracle sleep drug @wizz was recommended was though. I alternate between a couple of things but they are meh and not new or miraculous.

@auspice No. The problem is that they receive major kickbacks from the pharmaceutical company to get people to /try/ them in the first place.
Last psych I went to had me changing medicine every three months for my bi-polar, but I was like just give me fucking Lithium, that shit works for me (and is also how I got my forum moniker) but to this date, he won't put me on it.

I cleared a building once with just a sandwich. No nuke required. I just opened the container while sitting coincidentally near to a ventilation intake.
Anybody from the Hessen area of Germany will nod in understanding when I mention the sandwich was Handkäse (mit Musik!) and will wonder what the Hell was going through my head taking that to work in North America. Or anywhere outside of the Frankfurt area in general.

I haven't had any soda around since I began my migraine meds last spring. They ruined the taste of it (which is a bonus because quitting soda is good, but damn if I sometimes don't still want it as a treat).
I've had some lemongrass tea, which should help. It just isn't yet.

I am at a writing conference with friends, which I am enjoying greatly.
However, I have had a migraine for literally a week straight (to be fair, it's actually almost certainly actually a cluster headache, given how long it's gone on and how it reacted for a bit to oxygen treatments, and given that I get both).
Despite even going to the ER last weekend, I still have this migraine.
I am trying to function on migraine meds, but it is casting something of a pall on my enjoyment of my writing conference, and making me a tiny bit grumpy.
