RE: Dread the Game
I'm not sure how I'd do it but it seems pretty fun. I think it depends on the story being told to whether it would be instant death or not if the tower falls for me.

Dread the Game
I was watching a youtube video on Geeks and Sundry (or whatever the channel name is). It's a Table Top series type thing. Most of the games they play I'm 'Meh. Seems okay.' Then they had the Dread system and I was 'Oooooh. THat looks fun.'
Has anyone else seen the game?! I want it something fierce.

RE: Staffing Philosophy: Action vs Procedure
I didn't get any self-righteousness or rancor from @GentlemanJack's document. It came off more like 'This is how it is here, whether you like it or not.' Which, I think, is a legit thing to say. It's his game, after all. It's more firm in things than I would be but that's the nature of everyone being different. I'd not mind @GentlemanJack helping me with my policy type things, personally.

RE: Staffing Philosophy: Action vs Procedure
@Misadventure That kind of falls into the zone of unwillingness to disagree with the staff because it could mean bad things for the person helping the review.Besides, there's the risk of 'Oooh.. there HAS to be SOME truth to X event done by PlayerA. I shouldn't trust them or get involved with them.' whether or not the person being reviewed has done anything or not,

RE: Staffing Philosophy: Action vs Procedure
@JaySherman If they truly like the theme and want to be on it, they will. I do have a question, though. Was the person who did the inviting aware it wasn't open for public, yet? And incomplete? I don't want to say the person was being pretty jerky if they weren't fully aware.

RE: Larger Scenes!
@Bennie said:
The internet has changed. Backwards a bit in time, people used Places more often. You could be in a room with 10, 15, even 20 people, such as some sort-of court scene, and nobody burst into tears.
People simply chatted at their tables, read what the person in charge might have said, or the one other person responding to something similar, but the grid room itself never felt flooded or mind boggling.
Fast forward: internet culture is so lackadaisical about everything, people simply can't be roused to use the code, and get petulant about reading anything more than 1 pose every 10-15 minutes. It's unambitious is what it is.
People are so subservient to their own internal whining dialog they would rather act standoffish and bash the scene for size than to play in a sedate, unpretentious way.
- Install places in rooms to be used for large scenes.
- Encourage people to use those places, whether through desc on the room, announcement during the scene, or paging privately to ask people to take their poses to the places code.
- Stop pretentiously soapboxing about 'ow, ppl sux, wah, 5 too many'.
- The end.
Wait... was I just called pretentious for not enjoying large scenes and wanting to find a way to once again, at least, tolerate them? And I never, at all, indicated that I thought peopled sucked. Nor, as far as I can tell, has anyone else.

RE: RenoMUSH - The Biggest Little Game on the Net
I don't find Reno /super/ active but I do find @tragedyjones and his staff trying pretty hard to encourage activity. It's a good enough reason for me to hang around. I also /strongly/ base what places I go to on whether I find staff and players enjoyable to be around.

RE: Request: Halp!
Theno helps me with my always present problems! Although, I try not to hassle to much.

RE: Larger Scenes!
@Thisnameistaken My char is not dependant on large scenes, at all. She's just a very social person. She likes to talk to people, she is a shameless flirt and tease, etc.. The scenes in question always have lotsa happening people on the game. and where a lot of the activity seems to be.
The game uses a +vote system so going to events is a thing. Always lotsa people at them.

Larger Scenes!
Okay, I have realized, again, recently, that I am not a more than 3 or 4 people per scene kinda gal. I become background noise when the scenes get to big, even when my char wouldn't.
Anyone got suggestions on how to get past, or at least tolerate, larger scenes? Because on at least 1 of the games I'm on it seems like a large scene is about the only way to get random RP.
And, what do people prefer? LArger or smaller scenes? I've already stated my preference!

RE: Upvote/Downvote Notification
@Rook You totally are and you'll enjoy it. I deem it so.

Upvote/Downvote Notification
I don't know if it notifies when downvoted (I don't pay 100% attention) but it does when upvoted. IS there anyway to add an option to turn the upvote on posts notification off or on? Or can a option to be able to do so be added?
Like if @Rook upvotes a post I made can it be told not to tell me he did? (I totally used @Rook because his post is the one I am seeing above this topic creating window).

RE: Kushiel's Debut
I can totally request and see if reynard can get it. IF he wants it. I really don't care who. I'd put everyone but that seems a little abusive of the system. Since ya'll drew me here. As well as one or two other friends.

RE: Kushiel's Debut
BTW. Whomever wants to can claim the XP bonus thing for recruiting people. I think it is done now but I joined before they called it done.

RE: Kushiel's Debut
I am totally trying to convince people to join the Le Blanc family too. We got fun things planned.

RE: Kushiel's Debut
Okay! I am Corinne! Some of you have probably been talking to me so feel free to page with me and plot ideas for her. I am not familiar with Kushiel theme so help would be very welcome in plotting her concept.
