@Staked I am doing something similar, sort of. My co-creator and I are having playable NPCs that people can 'test the waters on' to get a feel for the game. Then they have the option of turning that NPC into their PC or making their own bit and sending the NPC back to the pool.
Though, one thing I did NOT like about Firan's roster is they never cleaned out anything that people have been brought to a point that the char is considered 'unplayable' by people.
@Crysta Firan was a little excessive in their code but that stuff was pretty cool. I could have done without the sex code but I suppose that is one of the best ways to track generational stuff. I really liked how there was something to do even in down time on the game.
@tragedyjones Somehow.. I feel like I want to see a mu* called that so I could play it. Mind, I am also always tempted to play a My Little Pony mu*. So I might not be the best judge.

@Rook If you need a place to test it on you can come on my place. I will have much sadness if you break/hack my things but otherwise I tend to lean towards trusting people while being prepared for the worst.
Okay! I was just glancing at some of the topics here I have not been following and noticed the discussion about the dark flag. My question is how do you disable it? I tried figuring it out but couldn't. Or is it better just to spin the soft code to show staff, dark or not?
My co-staffers and I agree that the dark flag is not something we want.
@Admiral and @il-volpe I'm game for both of these. @Luna and @ThatOneDude should too. And anyone else who is willing! There's been a couple people trying to get me to Ed.. Coin's game.

It was several years ago now. It's made it hard for me to want to even try a Kushiel game again. Might have been called Kushiel's Legacy or Rose or something a kin to that. I don't remember now But there was a hardcore clique where it was impossible to get involved in anything. I couldn't even get help to finish CG or anything. Ya'll seem pretty cool so I /might/ attempt to try a Kushiel game again. Maybe.
@Wretched if you are on TR you must be rolling your eyes something fierce about Nicky! She is 19 and the City Manager. Mind, I only play up her being a political girl. She can't fight or anything like that.
I think I tried Kushiel's Debut. Or some Kushiel game. The players weren't welcoming nor were staff. At least towards someone who has never read the books. I was gonna try it out because a friend was there.

@Cobaltasaurus @Luna At first she doesn't know. It's when they go to the future that it becomes clear that Mamo and Usa are mom and dad. Mind, Chibi-Usa is basically 'My mommy doesn't love meeeeee.' all through that part. Despite, you know, Usagi being the queen of all the things at that time. Chibi-Usa is over 900 years you'd think she'd grow up she can't have all the things, even if she's stuck looking pretty darn young.
The only thing that Origin gets me with is The Sims. I like to cheat in oodles of monies and build houses. And turn on the abilities not to ever lose stats.
@Cobaltasaurus Yes! It is weird, I can see, at first, her having a crush on him because she 'doesn't know' but once she finds out she takes her crush to the extreme. Again, though, it is not as bad in the Manga. It comes off more as she needs her daddy and just a little crushy. Maybe it'll become like that in the show this time.
@EmmahSue Yes. I love how Hak is extremely protective of her too and that at first, each time, he tries to stop he from putting herself at risk but he sees her resolve and lets her go but is prepared to run to protect her in a heartbeat. I want him and Yona together. Yona is one of the few female leads, at least that I've seen, that doesn't instantly become practically helpless as she gets help/gets terrified.

He is pretty cute in the series.
One peeve I have with Magical Girl animes and the like is.. WHY DO PEOPLE NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE?! The only thing that changes is their clothes. Everything else stays the same. I suppose it could be explained away that it is that way for the reader/viewer to know who they are but they also see the transformation and the detransformation. I have never seen a magical girl anime that makes visible changes when they power up, outside the clothes.
I rant on this as a girl who is quite fond of Magical Girl things.
