It /seems/ like staff is trying to do updating and the like to their stuff. So, maybe it will some what fix things? Not sure!

Just a small clarification.. I don't care whether I'm 'new' IC or not. I am 100% talking about hand holding OOC. I am not 'read the book cover to cover' type of girl when it comes to gaming. I focus on what is relevant to what I am trying to play and just eventually pick up everything else as I look it up to understand what the people are talking about.

Haha. It is why I am trying to force myself out of my comfort zone. Only playing Possessed and sin Eaters pretty much limits where I play.

It will be on Fallcoast, yes. I have a sin Eater there. I've briefly tried Mage, Changeling, and Vampire before. Basically I CGed got really annoyed about how confusing it was for me, then gave up after it didn't seem like anyone wanted to reach outside their playgroup, so I never really did anything.

So, I have no preference on what to try. I don't mind whatever. @Ganymede if you have one you prefer, I'd be happy to attempt to CG under it. I just want to attempt to try something new.

So, I want to play a sphere I am not familiar with (I typically focus on Possessed and Sin Eater). I know VERY little about the other spheres. I was hoping someone who is more knowledgeable about.. whatever would like to CG with me on Fallcoast (It is the only WoD that I know of that has possessed and Sin Eater). As.. well, anything but aforementioned spheres. I don't know if it is better to start with te minor version of whatever or just go in full tilt into the major one.

@SquirrelTalk What you're saying makes a lot of sense to me though. It does allow the whole sexualization to take a more... superlative approach in the sense that it'd become the main story. The thing. The tether that joins everyone together, like a big orgy of sexual nomenclature.

I'm mildly curious.. Have you ever played on a place like Shangrila? OR a sexmu* that is 99% about getting laid? Serious questions. The way you speak makes me think not.

Because on games like Arx or WoD ones or what have you sex happens but it is generally not encouraged to bang every which way on everything in the street with basically no consequences.

Iam not 100% if this is the right spot but I think so. If not, move where appropriate.

Anyways, I'm trying to set up a TinyMUX server and I seem to have done everything I was suppose to do correctly but it doesn't seem to be starting.

I did all the ./configure stuff and changes I wanted, as the installation thingie told me but ./Startmux is not doing anything.

What I see:

Note, the 'sh' is what my host told me to try and it made the ./configure work but not 'Startmux'. Can anyone help me figure out what I need to do?

I put the stuff in here that you said was how to do it an dall I get is that \2 thing. I tried using the same stuff and it doesn't do any of the things.

Okay. I switched to try out beip but I tried inputting the page highlight code things that was said to put in and the samples don't seem to work in general. The ones given on this post at the start just shows me:

You paged <me> with: \2

I just copied the things @skew and @Ninjakitten put. How do I fix it?

Just because the staff seems really nice and the theme is interesting. I am playing on a dragon rider game (doesn't seem to be.. uh... Pern stuff). It has been open for a couple more weeks and I would love to see more people check it out:

@Alamias Uhhh. I believe a friend of mine is going pilot so a mechanic type could be good but that isn't something I'm set on stone about. I'm for whatever you think would be fun. There is medical stuff going in the game so there is also being a doctor or medical type. Mmm. I've got, at least, 1 gunslinger. If you want to play a more classy type could be a noble that is basically paying my character and her crew to be a personal charter or play a companion who travels with us. There's 3 of us, so far (maybe 4, depends on if the person in CG finishes) so there is plenty of room to find a niche that appeals to you the most.

I'm trying to give ideas that make sense for being part of a ship in the Firefly 'verse without making it seem like you /have/ to play something that you might not enjoy.

And the noble class are actually the people who remember their past lives, which is why they are 'noble'. So, when an action is done to 'stop the repeating lives' and something changes, they remember. Whether it was good or bad.

Exact same life. They even die at the same age, PCs being the exception (o with more freedom on deciding when). Let me see if I can get some of the story I have written.

That is the back up version. The one on the actual website has some changes to various files. But, the essence is the same.

I am aware, I'm pretty flakey on making mu*s but I've actually been putting effort into my current idea. As in, I believe, I've been working on ideas and the likes for over a year now. Could be even longer, as I've been having health problems.

It is, very basically, a world where people are cursed to keep reliving the same life over and over again. Each time something happens in a previous life that is a big deal something changes in the new life. (hope that makes sense)/

It will be a lords and ladies type but I want to work in adventure stuff and things for those who like social and non-social stuff (like combat, scouting, exploring, etc)

I am using the Arxcode for Evennia but a child version of it that Ithir uses. I liked the changes that Ithir staff made about code, which was similar to mine.

I am still working on theme files but I would really like someone who is skilled at the coding. I've been trying but I can only fix cosmetic things, at best. I want to do things like change the website color scheme and alter the skills.

I'm trying out Still Flyin' and I am quite enjoying it so far. Right now I am working on a ship Captain who, in ways, is going to be a female Jayne. I'm still working on details beyond that. Anyone interested in forming a crew with me?

This is not something I commonly do nor am I likely to again. I have been out of work for close to a year do to fracturing my neck and getting an infection in my spine as well as multiple other things. I ended up with a debt and am struggling to make day to day on roughly 400 a month, atm, give or take some. Any help would be appreciated.

It is not all the 'Speedy McSpeedy' person but sometimes the GM. I've joined PrPs and staff plots where all I am doing is adding fluff because everything happening is not something that I can get involved with because of one reason or another. For example if I am playing a social with no sneaky how exactly am I suppose to pose being all sneaky and skilled at it? I've even posed being loud and lagging behind. The GM of the scene basically ignored it. It made a not enjoyable scene because nothing I did affected what was 'already written.'

Alas, if I had the money I would. I am scrambling to figure out how afford Christmas for my family. The not working for half a year makes money hard. Stupid getting hurt.
