I think you're on the ball there and I think that's why people get annoyed when someone constantly ducks out of RP because 'it's not fun for me.' Yeah, well, I wouldn't be asking you TO RP if it wasn't fun for me, so thanks.

I think that's why I bristle so hard at the 'my fun' or the 'I shouldn't have to RP anything that isn't my fun' idea. Because it implies: someone else's fun is worth more than mine.

On Ithir, there's a lot of people who want teaching scenes in exchange for giving/receiving a teaching discount on a skill. I don't particularly enjoy teaching scenes. On either end. I don't wanna be the student, I don't wanna be the teacher. So I will pass. I'll just say 'let's RP about whatever and just say the teaching happened off-camera.' But I know some people really like those scenes so yes, I've absolutely sucked it up and RP'd giving someone swordplay lessons. I tried to keep that part of the scene short and sweet, but they wanted it and I knew from experience that they had been willing to handwave the teaching part for something for me.

But it absolutely would have been a dick move, IMO, to refuse. So, what, it cost me a couple hours and let our characters talk and have character development while I played out a scene that isn't in my preferred things to do. Whatever.

All of the above. Even down to 'make the game you want to see.' SGM has reinvigorated my love of storytelling like nothing else in years.

This stuff is golden. Most groceries carry it, too. Everywhere I've lived in the US has had it.

(My go to tea when I have a cold is throat coat, echinacea, and ginger root with honey.)

Weather changes have me absolutely non functional today (fibro flare). I made it to work thinking I was still just tired but fell asleep at my desk a couple times and couldn't focus on anything, period.

I'm glad my job isn't shitty or weird about stepping out like this but I mean. Better I do than spend a whole day doing nothing of worth at all.

Now time to go home and sleep forever.

I HAD a nice lap table, but it didn't make the cut when I packed a truck to move from east coast to west. I prob should replace it someday. It'd make bed-computer-time so much nicer. Mine was more like this tho

that's part of the problem rn. She caught me by surprise in the hall and I had somewhere to be so I couldn't stop or anything ...... but now I don't know if I'd recognize her if I saw her again.

I feel so bad when I can't remember someone's name and they remember mine.

Friday, a bunch of people went out for drinks for my boss' birthday. I met a lot of new people, but was also drunk by the end of it (never turn down a free drink... or 5 free drinks).

I passed a girl in the hall today that I vaguely remember meeting.
She remembered my name.
I couldn't even begin to guess at hers. :X

I've tried MU*ing on my laptop while in bed a few times and it feels really uncomfortable. How do you do it, do you use a stand? Just in your lap?

Although I'll say this, a cooling pad made playing from my reclining chair much more bearable. The only thing I mind is the need to route a power cable over since my gaming laptop sucks electricity like crazy.

I'm one of those people who will just sprawl on their stomach in bed at wtfever angles.

Look, I'm a single lady who has a king size bed. If I don't sprawl in it at least once a week what even is the point?!

This reminds me that I need to dig my little bluetooth keyboard out. The one that came with my iPad's cover has the worst battery life. If I, over the course of lunch, use it intermittently (so intermittent use over the course of an hour).... it dies.

But somewhere I have a bluetooth keyboard with a better life and I can, theoretically, attach magnets to it to take advantage of the case.

Until I got my 2nd monitor on my desktop, I pretty exclusively used my Macbook to MU from (so I could play games or watch movies on the desktop). Now that I have 2 monitors, the laptop is only used if I'm chillin' in bed RPing (sometimes happens if I'm winding down for the night while wrapping up a scene) or just don't wanna sit at my desk.

I use Potato on the desktop, Atlantis on the Macbook.

At work I hang out on SGM because Staffing. I use Duck client there. On my phone.... I have Mudrammer, but I use the web portal for Ares because it's just easier in a lot of ways.
