Project Power on Netflix where folks take a pill and it releases an animalistic power.
I am hoping it turns into a series.
As long as they explain why those two specific people got to break the basic conceit.

@Wizz I can't say whether it was their best or not; I have nothing to compared it to.
I guess there are some people who might know, but they would have to offer that sort of judgment voluntarily.
When you get a really nice, and long TS mav in the middle of the OOC Lounge for at least three or more people to see, and it makes the rounds in less than three minutes, tops.
Truly a fucking gem.
Lovecraft Country's first episode was great. Jurnee Smollett is fantastic.
Agents of SHIELD finished last night. It was a decent finale for a good show.
For this sort of thing I'd like something close to Greg Stolze's O.R.E. system which is pretty narrative-driven while still being dice-dependent.

Is there any interest in a game heavily inspired by paranormal/supernatural-themed media such as Control (the 2019 game, check it out if the rest of these are your thing), SCP, Fringe, X-Files, etc? It'd be heavily focused towards investigation, some sort of mysterious agency, yadda yadda yadda. Think monster of the week but with an overarching metaplot.
Fringe is my jam.

Maybe a game that was based on a type of Demigods, Gods, and Goddesses like thing. Like American Gods or a blast from the past with Magnus Chase or Percy Jackson-type fun.
Scion 2E has been...sort of a thing for a minute! They're still working on the demigod and god stuff tho.
Man, people complain about dinosaurs and power creep on normal games; I can't imagine the amount of whining and bitching there'd be on a game where there are literal tiers of power and if you're below someone else you're basically like a fly. Lol.
What is really cool (in theory, we'll see how they'll make it work) is that the different tiers are almost like completely different games this time around. Demigods and Gods aren't just "Hero character but can juggle mountains now." They don't just open themed coffee shops and casually smite the fuck out of people in BaRP, they've got very different spheres of responsibility and can't muck around in the mortal world without severe consequences, so they have to rely on Hero-level characters and mortals for the every day stuff. I think it'd be really interesting to see a MU* with all three interdependent tiers in action the way they've described it.
My confidence in MUers being able to apply that sort of division on a game is so close to zero it might as well be below it.

@Wretched I think Poppy Z. Brite counts. It's been a looong time since I read a book by her. I should try again.
@GreenFlashlight She also wrote a short story in the Crow compilation story/poetry book Shattered Lives & Broken Dreams. That one was a lot more palatable to me than some of her other ideas.
I also coincidentally really recommend that book. I read it so many times in high school.
@Coin I'm trying to remember if I've ever read John Shirley. That name sounds really familiar, but I'm going to look at some of his stuff when I get off work today!
He likes to write in present tense a lot.
You should, if you haven't, check out anything by John Shirley. He's a sci-fi/horror writer who gets pretty detailed.
I recommend his short story anthologies, especially Really, Really, Really, Really Weird Stories (divided into several sections, each one with stories weirder than the previous) and Black Butterflies (split into two parts: "This World", where it's stories without any supernatural/sci-fi elements to them; and "That World", in which there are).
His novels are good, too, but imo, not as captivating as his short form; if you do check out his novels, try Wetbones and Demons first, I would suggest.
Was reading old logs and got nostalgic.
Kate was an Elodoth Blood Talon at Eldritch. Player got busy and then we just never heard from them again. If you're out there, PM me if you like!

@Cobaltasaurus Thanks. I noticed there were a lot of spies. Who are they spying on if there is no reason to be distrustful of the people on the ship?
I mean, just because the people get along individually doesn't mean their governments don't have ulterior motives.

A rebooted Highlander movie/TV series is supposed in the works by the John Wick director
Sorry. Sword. Phallus. The joke made itself.

...I wouldn't say no to a rebooted Highlander series either, tbh.
(As long as they kept Princes of the Universe as the themesong.)
Hard same. An updated Highlander would be fantastic.

@Wizz I enjoyed The Old Guard but kept wanting to scream, "Now cut off his head!" and yelling at them to get to holy ground.
Sooooo.... Highlander: The Series?
I mean, that's the reference. But no, the movie/comic book has many key differences from Highlander.
