Will there be any magical schools that derive from the Middle East?
(Yeah, that's me plugging for a Semitic school of magic...)

You guys, the new She-Ra and the Princesses of Power on Netflix is amazing and fun for a girl and a boy. Or kids and adults. The animation is exquisite and the storylines and character development are refreshing.

So not only do I have De Quervain's in my dominant hand, but it's also compounded with wrist tendonitis.
I'm just....ngggggh.

The conversation with one of my brothers recently involved him telling me that he was one falsely accused of rape - a charge he was able to prove was false because of security cameras filming the incident. And that's great. Hurray for you not raping someone.
But apparently he feels that the <7% or so men who are falsely accused are waaaaay more important than the women who are assaulted.
And then he asked me why I didn't report my attacker, and didn't I think if I had done so, I would have prevented any possible future assaults?
FUCK. YOU. BRO.

RE: Forgiveness in Mushingposted in Mildly Constructive
Forgiveness is hard. There are still people whose choices on MU*s which have caused me harm, and I have not forgiven them, decades after the fact. But I also don't live with those issues at the forefront of my brain, so I only carry it when confronted with the possibility of contact with these people.
Forgiveness does not involve forgetting, and for me, a lot of it depends on the effort the other person has placed in asking for it. I've never, in any circumstances, been able to let it go immediately. It always requires time - sometimes months, while I try to sort out how I feel. But if and when I do forgive, I want it to be genuine, rather than something I've said because I'm expected to.

Speaking of appropriately diverse casts...
The third season of Into the Badlands in the first part of Season 3 has been absolutely marvelous. What's weird is that I find myself missing Veil, because I didn't really find that she had much to do beyond be Sunny's McGuffin and baby mama.

If anyone here knows Black Bolt's player, can you let me know? I'd like to give them my contact info. Thanks!

He was a good friend to me in the MU* community and I will miss him. May his memory be a blessing.

HEY GUYS!!
So you're probably not familiar with this unless you live in Florida or happen to be obsessed with greyhounds, but long story short, in FL they've passed Amendment 13, which will result in the closure of all of of Florida's remaining greyhound racetracks within the next two years.
Regardless of your stance on the tracks, the fact of the matter is, almost 8,000 current racers will be put out of service, and the eradication of the industry also puts another near 7,000 dogs, including breeding bitches and puppies, out of use as well, within that time.
The various greyhound adoption groups around the US are mobilizing to do their very best to try and take in and foster these dogs in order to find them homes over the next couple of years. Greyhounds fresh off the track do need to learn and transition into being a "pet" rather than a working dog, but by and large they are gentle, quiet, and love to be lazy. They are actually pretty good apartment dogs.
Long story short, if you are considering adopting a dog in the next few years? Please consider adopting or fostering a greyhound. If you can't adopt or foster, consider donating time or money to a local greyhound adoption group. I've included a link to my local group, Greyhound Pets Inc., here for anyone interested in helping, whether it's to adopt, volunteer, or donate.

No apologies needed. We've had enough exchanges in public and private to know where you stand, and I appreciate you being upfront. Stuff like this is hard.
Honestly, as for the gossip, at this point I expect folks can either put up or shut up. Which is not on you at all.

RE: RL things I loveposted in Tastes Less Game'y
@Auspice My only beef with Torrid is that their stretch jeans really do streeeetch. I sized down to begin with, and they've still ended up with a tendency to slide down my hips. I'll probably by another pair and size down even further to compensate for the stretch.
Their bras, however, are a gazillion times better than LB's.

Sounds interesting! While acknowledging you guys are in development, is here the place to ask questions about theme?
