Yes, just randomly move an entire thread instead of waiting for them to show you how to do it properly.
But moving the entire thread was the intended action. There was nothing random about it.

Crazy idea, if you can't spend 5 minutes learning the commands/etc to moderate a forum....
Maybe don't moderate a forum?
Crazy idea, but if two out of three moderators know a particular command well enough and there is no need for immediate action, maybe waiting for a walkthrough on your first attempt is wiser than tinkering on one's lonesome and risking the obliteration of some posts.
@tempest said in Regarding administration on MSB:
Again, I did that because YOU are a fucking useless pile of shit as a mod and moved an entire thread to the hogpit.
You could have done a myriad of other things. You elected to do as you did. Other members have been polite enough to actually offer suggestions as to where to fork the topic, and that's what I'm working on right now.
I don't agree with Arkandel's assessment of the situation. You're right: Enarei starts up shit on Page 10, albeit in a way that begins with some rational talk. The topic wasn't moved because of anything you did; it was moved because it collectively had wandered into Hog Pit land.
If I'm a useless fucking pile of shit because I'm not all-too-familiar with the admin commands, so be it. In the past, entire topics had been moved; here, there appeared to be a very limited amount of constructive material related to the topic, mostly because it seems clear that United Heroes' staff doesn't intend to change or fix anything.
As a reminder, you're in the Mildly Constructive area right now.

Furthermore, I am not really cool with this post, at all. Or with this 'shut up or I'll ban you' being a casual comment from somebody who is a mod on the board.
What part of that post was intended to be a casual comment? It's not a casual comment, and it wasn't phrased as one.
What exactly have I done that is so horrible, please inform me?
C'mon, really?
You toe the line. You've always toed the line. You know damn well what you're doing, but if I would have to say it plainly, then you're deliberately doing shit in order to test people's patience.
If you want to sell the idea that you had no idea that creating a topic called "United Heroes is Literally Worse Than Hitler" in the Mildly Constructive area, so be it; however, your actions belie your claim to innocence or ignorance. You could have picked any other kind of innocuous title, but, no, you decided to go with "United Heroes is Literally Worse Than Hitler".
Not "Links to other United Heroes threads."
Not "Hot Topics on United Heroes Banned by Mods on this Forum!"
Not "Lurid Undie Weasels Form Border Guard Against Interesting Stuff on United Heroes."
No. Hitler. Hitler is what you picked.
C'mon.
Just, stop. You know what you did. Just don't do it again, all right?
And that's my casual comment on the matter.

Walking is not helping me lose weight. Not visually, at least. Most days I still feel fat as ever (though I do not own a scale, so who knows).
Stress isn't helping. Cortisol is your enemy.
I'm sorry, mistress, but I will get back on schedule after this week. Just finished up a trial, and am heading into depositions tomorrow.

Personally, for the actual character system, I'd rather see if we can adapt the SPECIAL system more directly, or even look at the SIMPLE system for the tabletop RPG that Josh Sawyer was working on.
Broken record: FS3 could pull off the SPECIAL system quite easily. Skill set may be a bit more difficult. I don't think Faraday has the other knick-knacks and do-dads, but that wasn't personally the appeal in Fallout to me.
One.
I have two kids and one cat. If one of the kids wants a cat, they will have to kill one child or the existing cat. And I know my cat is pretty damn fast.
My household is always going to be interesting.
First question: what is it about the code that people like?
Do you think RDC is a douchebag? If not, try New Orleans.

This just popped up in my feed on FB.
Same. My comment: "Been there. Knew it. Had it."
Pretty much all day I’ve been on the edge of stress- and anxiety-vomiting turning in my court paperwork. But now I might be adopting 2 kittens this evening, so there is that.
I want another kitten, but I have a 3-varmint rule.
Is there anything any of us can do to help?
If there's something I can do, PM me. I live in the Southwest Ohio area.

They're especially hard when while fighting a Stormbird, you unknowningly stumble into an area that's being occupied by a pair of Rockbreakers. Then it becomes a nightmarish party.
Well, yeah. Rockbreakers suck. Their hit-registration is through the roof for no good fucking reason.
But Stormbirds? Easy as pie. They are slow as shit on the ground, and you can pound them with Hardpoints. Heck, they even get stunned on the regular, and that can let you tear off their engines right quick.
Thunderjaws are a bit tougher, but they sort of try to stare you down, which is not a good tactic when you've got their disc throwers.
Someone told me that Stormbirds were hard.
They ain’t hard.
HZD is awesome.

I already have my Scorpion planned, and no one will suspect a damn thing.
The fun part is being the Scorpion that everyone suspects, but who demonstrates that it is actually someone else's fault entirely.

Cranes dance. Lions fight. If their honor's so out of joint, they can bring their army, and I'll bring mine.
The Cranes will make you look like a bitch in front of your friends and family, and will cut you down in a duel.
Pick a Scorpion. Everyone hates them, everyone expects them to be nefarious.
This man is an ass.
This wasn't just harsh criticism. He never said a single positive thing. He cut me off constantly. He was practically yelling at me at times.
It took Phil Lord and Chris Miller almost 15 years to get a project of their own up off the ground again, and for crowds to appreciate their humor.
That said, when you're ready you should ask your instructor to put all of his criticism down into writing. And then, you should forward that onto his supervisor, along with the accounts of everyone else in your class who probably went through the exact same thing.
Abuse comes in many forms, and always breeds in darkness.
