There were people that didn't like how it functioned or looked when we first started, either. As far as I can tell, it does indeed function for everyone since the latest theme change and that is the only real issue I intended to address when switching themes.

It seems like several issues were mostly caused by browser caching. Regardless, I'll leave this theme since it at least allows some personal choice in skin selection, if not complete theme layout.

As a heads up, however, the forums will be upgraded on a periodic basis.

Make sure you've refreshed/cleared cache. On top of annoying everyone, the theme changes also make the css a little awkward due to browser caching.

@Arkandel I switch the theme, so a refresh should clear it out.

I've changed the theme to the base theme that comes with this version of the software to try and make sure it is at least functioning for everyone. There's not much to be done about the look and feel, but you can go to your individual user page -> settings -> select-skin and choose a color palette that might appeal more.

If you slide out the menu there's a toggle at the top that, when set, will leave the side menu open.

Firefox v40.0 works fine for me on linux. There's a black circle with a white arrow in it on the upper lefthand side that full or half-screen sizes the reply view in chrome and firefox for me.

One of the drawbacks to this particular forum software is that there is no per user setting for themes. I'm not sure it's anywhere on the developers' horizon, even. We all end up with the same interface as a result.

Only if you'd like to do so. I posted this so people were aware that I was doing so, not so much to try and change behavior for it.

So this theme is slick and all, but you might notice that chat is not quite working in the popups. You'll have to use the full screen chat for now.

Looks like the setting got turned off in the upgrade. I've turned it back on, so you should be good to go.

I'm not sure if the update had anything to do with it or not, but the Good Music topic was crashing the forums. I've locked and moved it for now.

Due to the extreme love held for the new version, I've loaded up the old theme. This might not be fully compatible with the new code, but we'll see.

The forums have been updated to the newest version. If you're experiencing issues with css, make sure to clear your cache.

I'm with @tragedyjones on this one. Sure, you can do whatever you want to theme to make anything you want happen, but that's not the point.

@Admiral Cyberpunk is absolutely sci-fi and there is no stricture whatsoever on technology evolving "differently" in order to qualify as cyberpunk. Your restriction is merely an example of defining setting elements or theme in order to promote why there is a wired matrix. Just like @Jennkryst's.

Just as a heads up, I've installed google analytics on the forums. For those of you unfamiliar with it, it basically offers statistics and analysis of traffic data. If you're curious, you can read more about it here. If you have any questions about it, please let me know.

@Breezy There aren't a lot of games that have that level coded interaction outside of MUDs. If you're looking for more RP heavy MUDs, however, there's a group that has started up called Optional Realities that might have what you're looking for in a game.

Just as an aside, last time I tried, you can't get access to any of your amazon videos on a non-Amazon tablet. The kindle reader is available, but the rest is locked down.
