I should pester him about FFG stuff. But lazy.

@FiranSurvivor He's still on +staff, but I haven't seen him online a lot.

Re: Star Wars: It's weird. I know Age of Alliances has fast forwarded to Ep 7, but they want to include as much of their post Ep 6 RP as possible, but have been wishy-washy on doing it all. Granted, the movie did literally just come out, so now that the Headwiz has seen it, maybe it'll get sorted out better.
That sounds risky.
I know. I voted for the clean slate/start over with everything (as well as switching from DSS to FFG) but got turned down. I understand the WHY of it, just not why they think it's a good idea.
We don't know much about what's happening in Episode 7's brave new galaxy and what we do know is based on a handful of specific canon characters (and even they are still pretty mysterious). Even the political climate is largely unrevealed.
Supposedly there is a lot more in the new canon novels/comics? I couldn't tell you specifics, though. Since the game is set 1.5 years before Ep 8, we should have more answers by the time we hit Starkiller Base. Retcons are always a thing, no matter what. I unno. I really want that FFG MU to happen.

So far the only Jedi we've seen be in a relationship (in the movies, mind you -- Mara Jade is still <3) was Anakin, and love of Padme drove him to atrocity and desperation and all that. I think there would be a nerd eruption if a Jedi shacked up with someone.
There is some serious hand-on-thigh action between Obi-wan and Padme in Episode 2. To make the prequels interesting, watch Ep 1 with with Darth-Darth Binks theory in mind, and Eps 2-3 with the idea that 'Obi-wan was totally banging Padme' angle.

RE: All Star Wars Scenes Must be in Cantinas (with Spoilers)
Yes, I play there. Or rather, I have a PC there. The problem is that he did a timeline jump, but did not immediately wipe all previous RP and start from a clean slate. So nothing could happen until Ep 7 hit, because 'well, what if they blew up Coruscant three years after Endor? All the RP on Coruscant would be invalidated'.
Also, that chargen. Ye gods, that chargen. Don't get me wrong, it's the type of chargen I like, because everyone gets a pile of XP and you raise stuff with it. But the minutia involved in things that aren't important (first thing that somes to mind are the knowledge skills and profession paychecks) is redonk.

RE: Coming in 2016 - Bump in the Night
Include the Delmarva peninsula. We have giant squirrels, the fountain of youth, and probably blackbeard's treasure. Probably. I know pirates were a big enough deal that there were laws requiring people have guns to fend them off.

RE: Regarding Force Awakens Spoilers
I like to keep telling people to only give fake spoilers, so that they don't accidentally let people know about the Poe/Fin sex scene, and how tasteful the music was (flute trills during the cumshot and everything). It takes them a solid 30 seconds to realize I'm just fucking with them. I almost got booted from a game for it, too, it was great.

RE: New York City MU
There was an NYC MU that was my first foray into WOD MUs (okay, it was really HM, but I never had RP there or felt invested)... it had it's issues, but they were their own, and probably avoidable. Most notably, make sure that one staffer doesn't RP as the sheriff of sheriff-equivalent for every sphere and try to grope or diablerize you in front of non-chalant prince/heirarchs.

RE: FFG Star Wars?
@ThatGuyThere Also, because I liked the maps, I got the quickstart boxes, which come with plenty of dice.

RE: All Star Wars Scenes Must be in Cantinas (with Spoilers)
I'll build the grid, you code the spaceships to fly around in. That way, instead of hiding OOC, you can hide on your IC ship. And maybe get shot down.

RE: FFG Star Wars?
It is tricksy, but awesome. Will help any way I can, in my 'I will test random shit and accidentally crash the game' fashion.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
Re: Eclipse Phase: Dooo eeet. I'd staff and do an absurd amount of the the +myjob work. I will do double the absurd amount of +myjob work if we can magically include us some flying spaceships. Possibly flying morphs, as well.

Granted, the movie did literally just come out, so now that the Headwiz has seen it, maybe it'll get sorted out better. Generations of Darkness is up in the air, since it's a game set during the dark times pre-Ep 4. I really, really want to try to get a Fantasy Flight-style mush up and running, but I would need someone to teach me how to code or to bribe a coder (more likely that, honestly). Also with space flying zoom zoom pew pew. Because SPACE.

RE: Pick Your Poison: A Chronicle of Darkness Interest Check
Prohi-whatever. Mummy: the Curse is basically getting to play Cthulhu, since you wake up only if your tomb is disturbed, if your cult summons you, or if the stars are right. Also, you get to pilot giant rock statue power armor. Dooo eeet.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
@Ganymede Maybe. It's just amazing watching paralegal friend flip his shit when a Judge overrules the 'he hasn't taken the bar' objection with 'shut up, I'll allow it' (which is admittedly terrible, if hilarious) and the whole Rule 26(b) thing, which he described as something like 'the most brilliant use of the most annoying rule ever'. It could be because Delaware is redonkulous.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
Eh. It's a setting where we don't get as big a look into it as we want, but there is conceivably a reason why optical/EMS stuff didn't pan out. People's willful disbelief being among them. Then again, hard science anything is annoying. It works for things like... The Martian, a book/movie where you have all the fact checkers helping you for free, and your story revolves around the problems that arise from SCIENCE. Not so much a show aired out of order and cancelled.
To put another way... this is like saying LAWYER SHOW SETTINGS ARE TERRIBLE because law doesn't work that way in the real world. You're not watching the show for the law (unless you have law-friends who you want to explain everything, like how Grinder is amazing, and how while Annalise may be queen shit of fuck mountain, How to get Away with Murder is iffy at best). Or replace everything I just said about doctor shows.
TLDR - make plot reasons for shit to work the way it does, and to hell with reality. It's boring.

Room based exploration is BS compared to EMS scanning, optical observation, and trade/resource monitoring and fingerprinting. It's good for a Labyrinth.
That's why you don't explore room-to-room. You use some chicanery like Serenity MU's space system. Only be sure it won't crash the game.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
I should clarify my whole... 'in depth space simulation' thing.
Sometimes, when RP is nowhere to be found, I get bored, and want to do stuff to progress the character/accumulate resources/whatever. This is where SPACE comes into play. It lets me kill time/be not bored... while also progressing/accumulating. By all means, also have a way for others to just circumvent the whole thing. But also have it there to reward the people who want hidden bases way out in the middle of nowhere, that can only be found by people who actually explore.
