@arkandel I am enjoying discovery the only part I dislike so far is the redesign on the Klingon appearance but it's hardly the first time they've ever been redesigned. Otherwise though... I love the captain's actor and the personality he has, as well as the 'main' character.

RE: Which canon property/setting would be good for a MU* ?
@ghost I would actually play a game with FS3 if it were an Aliens setting world... I like the colonial marines angle a lot.

RE: RL Anger
@ganymede To be absolutely fair, I blame Snyder for all of this too. Performance wise, I actually didn't mind Affleck as Batman/Bruce as much as I initially thought, but I /did/ mind that horribly boring movie that even Wonder Woman couldn't really save at the end.
That's why I prefaced the murderous edgy brooding Super Man. Cavill can probably do a /fine/ Superman, I just hate the direction Snyder went with it, and I /hate/ that it was Lex Luthor who discovered the rest of the League over Batman/Bruce himself.
Is Affleck my favorite Batman? Not by a long shot, but any positives I gleaned out of his performance was completely and horribly overshadowed by the track wreck of a story that was BvS.
All just my opinion.

RE: RL Anger
@ghost I'm going to see it too, cuz... I'd go straight for Jason Momoa... if I was being 100% honest.

RE: RL Anger
The only thing that could save the Justice League movie for me...
Remove Batfleck. Remove Cavill's dark and broody murderous superman. Let Cyborg experience emotions. Make the Flash's lightning /yellow/ and not fucking blue.
Or make it an Aquaman (Momoa) & Wonder-Woman team up movie.

RE: RL things I love
@three-eyed-crow I actually liked the checked out voice of the theatrical version, probably because I saw it in the Theatre. It felt like he was trying to do a very ground out, noir type of PI character to me.
There are some interesting things in the final cut and such, but the narration I thought really added to the gritty noir tone and feel for me.
Haven't seen 2049 yet, hope it's still in theatres when I get the chance.

Dark Matter and it's source material would probably be a pretty cool sci-fi game. You'd have politics, corporations, outlaws, civil wars... the scope would have to be narrowed down a bit maybe.

RE: POLL: Super Hero MU Gut Check
The problem with FC centric games is everyone has their own idea of what an FC is like based on what comics they prefer, who was writing those comics at the time, and who they interacted with.
There's been so many retcons, reboots, and rewrites that it is just... impossible (in my opinion) to make an FC character that everyone will agree with. Which means it's just an OC with special powers (and usually much stronger than any OC can be). How many times have we seen FC's re-written to be alternate gender, or alternate sexuality, or alternate timeline, or whatever?
To many.
So the idea that an FC is somehow /superior/ to an OC is just silly really. Every FC that exists on any MU is an OC, it's not going to be faithful to the comics, because the comics aren't faithful to themselves.
That is why I prefer all OC games. Every character is just as important as any other character. Or at least closer to a parity.
It's also why I prefer super/comic games that use a hard system, so there are rules that define what people can, and can't do, along with some randomization to help resolve conflicts because people don't like to lose but if the dice say you lose, then it's easier to accept because blame can be shifted to the dice, and you can move on from that.

RE: Adapting FATE for MU*s
@thatguythere Lost Dominion has some neat rules and adaptations, but due to playtimes I was never able to get into any RP there. The staff are friendly and the rules are rather nifty. I don't agree with all of them, but it's pretty cool.

RE: Random links
@Auspice That looks surprisingly better than I was expecting, and I loved the first one even for all it's flaws!

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
@Arkandel @Auspice Ark's right, a bike would make 2 miles be quick as heck and would not cause anywhere near the amount of wear and tear. Walking 2 miles with arthritis is rough... I can't even imagine with fibro and the ligament/tendon issue.

RE: Descent Reboot
@Ganymede I am intrigued by what you're doing with the bloodlines, hope they're a good read even if I don't end up playing there. The ideas behind the game are interesting, hopefully will be nice to see how they all come together.
