40K, I'd not mind some of that. But only to play, not to make.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
So the new Independence Day movie sucked.
I liked This Land.
I liked X-Men Apocalypse.
I liked the Jungle Book
Keanu is great! Bad Neighbors 2 is even better than the first one, and I loved the first one. Who knew female sororities couldn't party? What kind of bullshit is that?!

RE: Good TV
I've been starved for sci-fi shows I actually like, when someone mentioned Killjoys. It was actually pretty enjoyable, I thought.

RE: Good TV
So, Preacher went from mediocre to pretty decent, I thought. I'd give it a B, with room for improvement.

I disagree entirely. I spend more dedicated time watching TV or reading than I do RPing at this point. Also, my choosing to invest in something does not, actually, entitle me to anything regarding that thing, regardless of how much I choose to invest.
On a Mu, players are participants, not passive consumers. That makes the difference. The stories set in the game are written by the players by and large.

RE: Bump In The Night: A Chronicles of Darkness MUX
@tragedyjones I liked the premise of BITN, and I don't think it was BITNs fault that I lost interest (it was work related, coupled with finding a game I found more fun once I started getting spare time again).
That said, it definitively felt like a sandbox game.

'no more than one fachead/family head/gov position/etc.' and this problem is rapidly resolved.
I'm not so sure it is. I'm not saying that people who play multiple alts are bad people and are doing wrong fun. I'm not judging them. I'm just saying I've found I prefer to play on games with alt restrictions. I find that it encourages a healthier game. When I said 'roles' I didn't mean it necessarily just as leadership roles, but more in the expansive way @Pyrephox was talking about.

I like alt limits. Allowing more than two alts I think has more negative impacts on a game than positive ones. Its not as if you can't still have a bunch of other characters on different games, too, but I think @Pyrephox is onto something when it comes to roles.

RE: Interest Check: Single Sphere VtR Game
Seems there are a few games now in the works trying to implement some of RfK's ideas in different clothes. Like Modern Nights Mux doing it automated like for Vampire The Masquerade.
Anyway, I would very much be interested. I don't think Paris as setting will hurt the game's appeal too much. Sure you'll have a ton of expats, but a ton of expats do live in Paris. Though less so than in say, London, which would also have worked. Just be sure you are aware and appreciate the fact you'll get Hollywood Paris, not actual Paris.

RE: Interest/Volunteer Check: Major Multisphere Chronicles of Darkness
I enjoy playing cop PCs. I had a lot of fun on TR playing my lazy cop in a department full of supercops and big city detectives (whom all ended up in Aleswitch of all places). On a big multisphere game chances are the only characters I would play would be mortals, and a law enforcement sphere is the best place to be for that. You get instant contacts, instant tie ins to things going on.

RE: Open Dates of New Games?
Arx is angling for early fall, I think? Currently its in Alpha. Though @Apos could give a better answer to that.

@Seamus Yeah, I only even suggested Tokyo BECAUSE it has a write up in Vampire, Werewolf, Beast AND Mage.
I'm thinking, unless someone has a very compelling argument, that Los Angeles is best, because of the diversity, both ethnic and financial. And it lets people play fucking movie stars like they wanna.
And them being there makes sense. As opposed to in some middle of nowhere Maine.
ETA: Blah, double posted for some reason trying to make a small edit. NO MATTER. Gone now.

RE: Interest/Volunteer Check: Major Multisphere Chronicles of Darkness
I'd say:
Easy: Los Angeles
or
Hard: LondonI'd love Hong Kong, but I don't think it would work very well for a big multi sphere game. Seems an awesome setting, but more if you want to run a game that focuses on the eastern vibe, and for that you need a smaller game where you can more readily form theme.
