I guess for me, I miss writing with someone else that can throw something in to work around, and I don't get that when it's just me.

I wish I had your discipline about cleaning, @Devrex My place is a mess. Of course, surgery certainly didn't help. I am going to be getting back on my ADHD meds too, so here's hoping!

@Ghost I mean, I don't think I have ever watched.. any of those? I mean, I've seen Nascar races when I used to hang out with my dad, etc but that's it.

But I now know why people were so into some series that have now ended, heh.

I have done more streaming stuff, modded for some friends on their streams and worked on a video game project based on a series I love (eeeee! I am sure some people can guess, but I can't say WHICH series).

And, of course, I have played a LOT of phone games. I have no shame in it.

Just a lot of tumbling thoughts, with no one place to put them.

I wanted to thank a lot of you for the support a couple months back. It means a lot.

RL has been rough, there was surgery, etc etc (Everything is good, it was just fixing something minor)

I haven't been RPing anywhere, and while I still have things I want to do with characters in my head..

It's amazing how much I've caught up on, in shows my friends watch, and doing little hobby type things, when I'm not trying to MU at least several nights a week. But it's still very weird. I've been RPing my entire adult life. I don't know how I feel about it.

@Derp She was apparently very happy in her last marriage, which she richly deserved.

I am very, very sad. There was something about her, and her music, that just spoke to me. Tina Turner, 83

@reimesu And that comment made me think about a bunch of people around the funeral, just chanting "Jerry Jerry Jerry.."

"Macha... you can't push these things and expect to keep your job at this level. It SUCKS. The way the economy is set up is REALLY bad. But you just CAN'T."

me: I can't what? Expect them to do the BARE minimum of what the law demands? Expect to be allowed to treat sugar crashes or be able to take insulin before I eat?

"You can't expect them to do the bare minimum, no.They won't.
      And you will get fired."

on a higher note: Surgery went well.

Well, after I had some messed up sugars today.. I went to Linda's office to follow up on my email (I was going to send another email yesterday, but my immediate supervisor said she would talk to Linda).

But I won't be needing schedule adjustments anymore!
And not because they did them.

@Ganymede to set my schedule to at least 2 hour intervals for breaks and lunch. And considering that they make adjustments every morning...

@Derp Which will clearly have to be my first work email of the morning. Because it's not okay to just ignore a medical accommodation like that. It's not.

I also woke up today and realized I have surgery this week. Too early to get nervous (It's on Friday), but I know it will be on my mind A LOT. (Minor outpatient surgery to fix a problem with my eye, but not Lasik or anything of that nature. But it will fix something that's been bothering me, so yay!) So I have Friday off, because surgery. and I will have to do something I have never yet done... call an Uber. Because I can't drive home, and my roommate will come get me, but can't leave my car there lol

@Devrex Yes, clearly. Today in our Friday meeting it was emphasized how they could not make exceptions every day for everyone.

...and then I sugar crashed HARD this afternoon before I got to my break, stuck on a call. So hard that I had spots in my vision, hands shaking, breaking out in a sweat. So I put into the teams chat I was going to break late, and having a sugar crash, be back asap.

DIRECTLY at the 15 minute mark, my manager messaged me to get back on the phones. Meanwhile, I was still struggling to see. Yep. So come Monday (because my manager was GONE in 5 minutes of messaging me), there will be a follow up email. Because now I'm feeling sick and weak, whee.

So some of you are professional types. For medical accommodations is 82 hours long enough before sending a follow-up email?

      Dear employer,

No i can not just 'fudge' the timing of my insulin shots. Yes, I need 2 hours between breaks/lunch, etc due to needing the insulin shots timed apart. You knew I was diabetic before making this schedule. WTF.

    • RE: Great moments in TTRPG

It was one of my very, very first TTs. I was like.. 12? 13?

And my poor, very underpowered in comparison character only had a gun, three bullets, and an alleyway. So she ran into the alleyway, but got followed by the big bad. the boys are all snickering, now

Not much else to do, right? She pulled out the gun she did NOT have much in the way of points in... and BEST ROLL OF MY TT LIFE. It shut the game down, for the night. Ooops.

@Cobalt So, out of curiosity, since you've apparently stated you went back into pages and verified what I was saying, and that he came to you /after/ he and I fought about the thing you were warned about the player for, and so on.

I've shown the logs, more than just the one. I've shown my commentary from the discord.

You knew he was a possible creeper, he had already done something shady, but when he came to you with that log - you just rolled with it. You didn't even offer me the benefit of the doubt as I have you, in this situation.

I would like you to acknowledge that maybe you reacted from the gut, and not from clear thought. Maybe he exaggerated things, etc. We all do such things, at times.

I'd like to think if you do that, we can leave all of this behind us, where it belongs.

@LucidArt I have been dealing with that just fine, person I have no idea who you are. All I can do is prove I didn't do what I was accused of in this case. I can only keep trying to show people that sometimes talk isn't true.

But it would be nice if certain people acknowledged it may be possible this didn't go down the way it was portrayed.
