when I left the house to drag myself into work, despite my body breaking down on me today (my finger is throbbing, I have a migraine, I just started my period, etc)-- I also left a bird trapped in a heating vent, because it wouldn't let me pull it out and see it to the door.

Hopefully when I get back, it'll still be alive, but my cats were actually hunting for once in their lazy lives so-- I don't know.

(note, I only came in because my boss was texting with his disapproving voice.)

One day, I will do it. Because a dragon breeding minigame sounds fun as shit. And by one day, you guys know what I mean.

I have to admit I get snarky as shit about free food at work. Not about what they serve, but just about it in general. But that is what happens when your company pays you 20k less than your regional/career average and then trots out free food as a 'look at all we do for you'!

Ftr, I also think that ad threads that don't allow for bad reviews are silly. Someone make a mildly constructive post about that, too.

Man, theno, you know I like you, but name names or don't bring it up. Don't drop shadow figures of people who 'all agree' about this one thing without giving some concrete names and at least some bit of proof.

not saying to out them. i am saying it is a bad way to argue to name 'all of these people' agree with me without providing some proof that those people exist. i have a lot of people who agree with me about that.

The post wasn't about the game, it's about my motivation for using the ad thread as a conversational ground.

Saying "pics or it didn't happen" doesn't mean it didn't happen. Seriously. Don't fall into the "prove it" defense because it's just as easily used to dismiss criticism. There's a certain point where the evidence has to stack up, but it won't happen unless someone starts it.

i am not falling into that. but you saying there is evidence is what i am calling out. that you were disinvited from a game doesn't amount to 'evidence'.

One time I fell asleep in the middle of Captain America during a vacation with @Roz, @saosmash, @Tez, and @Tat. When I fell asleep, the villain was just a normal Nazi. I woke up and very sleepily asked-- "But why is his face red??" To which they tried to explain it had always been red. But it wasn't when I fell asleep!
