It is pretty amazing ngl. Live Free or Die by John Ringo. Science fiction, seriously dry humor.

The glue in my book MELTED and pages just.... fell out. You would expect this if the book was old and well loved.

This is brand new and only been read once.

I've been reading outside. Paperbacks are suppose to be the ultimate summer kickback and relax tool!!

Also... I borrowed the book from my uncle and so now I am buying him a new copy. X.x

I'm not a huge fan of chicken in general (either too dry or too slimy and it's texture is just.... ew) and watermelon makes my throat itch and if I have a cut or something burn wildly.

My Zoya group photo fell onto the top of the lamp and the effect was so cool I centered it and now share.

There is a husky mix that lives in the townhouse right behind us. He walked by me all polite yesterday while I sat on my porch so I asked to pet him. Then today when he came around the corner he assumed he already had permission and trotted onto my porch for pets.

I love fireworks personally. It was one of the few times in my childhood when we stayed up late and went to the fancy end of the valley to enjoy something different. We would have sparklers too.

Then the west was hit with a drought that has come and gone so often in the last two decades that the displays never happened again and even sparklers were banned.

So now my affection for those memories is tempered by the fact I have an adult understanding and respect for others who can't for one reason or another tolerate them and/or are physically/emotionally hurt by them.

Right? The danger for fire in the urban area where I live is minimal but come on people.

We have a real problem with fireworks being set off all times of the year. A lot of us complain and report it to the police because it is //illegal// every day but the 3rd and 4th of July.

A few days ago someone posted a kind "Enjoy your holiday, but after remeber our pets, and neighbors with PTSD, Autism" on Nextdoor and people were calling the poster a Karen for it.

Enrages me.

All I want is that is take as little effort and time as possible.

Also I hate systems where everyone has to roll for who goes first, then has to say what they are doing, then rolls, then poses. It makes a single combat scene into an hour plus affair and I dislike that.

After eleven years of marriage it shouldn't be a surprise when my husband's definition of cleaning doesn't fit mine. Don't get me wrong! I am greatful he does the dishes.

But "cleaning the kitchen" to him means ONLY washing the dishes and wiping down around anything on the counters.

Mine involves putting everything away, throwing the tiny debris, dead flowers, picking up and wiping down all the surfaces, scrubbing the oven top, and at least sweeping up the visible stuff from the floor.

Ngl, probably the cutest sleepy kitten pic so far.

So fostering is a tiny bit expensive cuz the food the littles eat to get up to a proper weight is a bit pricy. I was feeling guilty about the added expense and so when people were throwing out side hussles for teachers I looked into one of them and got hooked up with Amazon Flex. It has been really nice and people are pretty kind about their delivery times not being spot on.

All in all, a good side hussle to pay for kittens.

The firefighters at wildfires should not have to warn people to not fly their drone over a wildfire. Come on people!!

I held her like this for a half hour.

Then she woke up so I put her down assuming she wanted to play with her siblings who were going spastic near by.

Nope. She wasn't done cuddling.
