@Ganymede I think its way better. I'm not saying its less or more powerful but its way more useful.

RE: Blood Sorcery
@Ganymede To me, the upgrade/change in the Blood Sorcery book make it actually worth having. Before it was a discipline, now, it feels like MAGIC >.>

Threnodies suck.
Well, maybe not, but in looking over them, not one of them seemed appealing, and the sacrifice cost to use them seemed prohibitively high, so that's just me.
As for the rituals themselves... the biggest problem with Blood Sorcery is that the only converted rituals are the ones from the original core book: Pangs of Proserpina/Rigor Mortis/Touch of the Morrigan, etc. for Cruac, and Vitae Reliquary/Liar's Plague/Transmutation, etc. for Theban Sorcery. Admittedly, several Theban rituals (and some custom ones, I think of lot of which were courtesy of Vinder) were added, but Cruac doesn't have a lot of that at all in comparison. So, effectively one would have to go through all the books, read over the ritual effects, and figure out the best way to recreate it via BS Themes and the like. THAT is where a lot of the work is going to have to come in.
Eh? Blood Sorcery in the book is pretty cool in terms of pointing out by the dots of what can be done. If you played mage it gets fairly close to the same ideals in a lot of ways.

@Luna Yes, add, no telenuke
But Threnodies are awesome and everyone should use them >.>

RE: Twinking in RP MU*
I don't know, sometimes its fun to play the combat monster, and, more so when the events/PRPs ect that you go to or attend are all about combat. With that said I still loveI a well rounded character but I've found in the majority of MU* situations being focused makes more sense and even more so when in a group that has a nice spread of "experts" in various areas.
Sometimes I love playing the werewolf/vampire/mage side of things up because I'm following my hobby of creating stories and RP. In real life I can work 9-5 and be tired and do all the mundane stuff that for the most part I'd rather not RP.
Call me a twink all day, just mean it in this context and not the other >.>

RE: Advert-is-ments broken on Firefox/Mac
I have a mac with Yosemite and running this site on Safari, Firefox and Chrome I don't seem to have any issues. Not sure what could be different.

RE: RL peeves! >< @$!#
@Glitch In defense of @Luna and my post I focused on "The Fast Lane". Like others have said I've driven all over the US and World and learned a lot about driving. But being back in Southern Cali I've been screaming at slow drivers on the 405 in the "fast lane" going slower than the flow of normal traffic.
I turn into Samir from Office Space: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enzJUemPYeU <-- Potentially NSFW due to the use of profanity.

RE: RL peeves! >< @$!#
People that drive slow in the fast lane, and, don't move out of the lane when they are holding up traffic.

RE: Twinking in RP MU*
@Bennie I waited 4 months to PK someone... no screaming or yelling on my end. Just a lot of sad face when I figured out I wasted 4 months of my PCs time to not kill someone.

RE: Ghoulage on Kingsmouth
@Cobaltasaurus I'm curious about that. It takes time to ghoul a mortal right? So is it a "It puts the lotion on its skin" scenario until they get to the point where the mortal is ghouled?

So we've sort of decided to apply 'twinking' as the ability to stat your character to maximize their potential in a certain direction, usually pretty focused. What is wrong with that? To be honest, I would rather have that than everyone be a jack of all trades.
I agree with the above 100%. I use to RP in a vampire group where one of us was the badass brawler/melee guy, one was the shooter, and then we had the crowd control "Jean Grey" that would use majesty and blood magic. As a group we were tough, alone we had holes that could be exploited. It worked and made a ton of sense IC and OOC.

He always had a list of increasingly improbable accomplishments -- from working in porn (god, why would anyone even care?!) to random crazy ninja shit -- for which he was obviously trolling for admiration and attention.

@Thenomain DEMON!!??!?!?
I'm not saying I've been wishing to play demon, but, its been on the top of the list since I heard it was being released...

RE: Book suggestions
@Glitch I love the Black Company books by Glen Cook (though its not urban fantasy). The book Three Shades of Night (nWoD Fiction) is pretty good too. I'm a huge Dresden Files fan so I'd recommend those as well.

RE: Werewolf 2e Games?
@Kireek I think I'm in love... But this is good as it matches power with things like Blood Sorcery and new disciplines in Blood and Smoke. I'm digging the direction they went in with that book and am super excited about werewolf.

This, obviously, can be rather devastating. Even just Strengthen, the first dot of Influence, can cause fires across the area to blaze out of control or winds to whip up into a howling gale. Manipulating Earth lets you tear avalanches down from the mountains. Create Water for mass flooding. Etc etc.
