Incidentally, I checked a couple other sites he's hosting and they're up. So his server is up, it's just the game that's down.

The game is down. As many of you know, Theorem's been ill so he's not available to bring it back up. It's possible @tangent might be able to but maybe not. So just keep trying to log in every so often and we'll see what happens.

It's not bad dehydrated with some seasoning of your choice. Very, very brittle though. No satisfying crunch.

I just want to know who the puppet master is, the one in the shadows playing people off against each other and twirling his (or her) moustache.

Hated ME:A. Had so many bugs, including a couple that kept me from advancing the main plot. Liked it better when they patched it. Then patched it again, and again, and again. Now it's a game I even replay every so often, mostly because I have trouble finding games I think I'll like.

That was merely a statement of fact. You implied the system was arcane which is why the angel game didn't make it. I'm correcting you; it's not arcane, people just hate it.

There's been lots of threads about FATE and FAE, lots of games that tried using it. I can count the number of games that lasted on one hand if I lost four fingers: Dark Spires and that was a Dresden game using the Dresden RPG. If I recall right, that uses FATE.

A game that uses FATE seems to start off with two strikes against it so you should know that in advance. I hope it makes it, it sounds interesting. Good luck with it.

I don't like it as much when people say, "Okay, here's a real city as our setting. It's...pretty much the real city, here's some cool set pieces or places, Google the rest." Make the city your own, give it a compelling narrative hook that makes me want to make a character to play in THAT place, at THAT time.

I already feel a tangent coming oh god but this is what I like about FATE. Creating the city is explicit and upfront, rather than WoD's approach of tucking it into an index or doing an obscure splat book here and there.

I completely sympathize with this and I think it's a legit struggle for FATE places, the system does look pretty arcane at first blush. I hope to overcome this with roughly a bajilliothousand example templates, big ol' honkin' lists of powers and stunts, and enthusiasm for the setting.

Which is why you should instead be like 'Hey, I need to talk to someone in HR but so-and-so is someone I'm not comfortable with so don't want to send an email about it that he can see. It could cause tension.'

Don't. It's not your place to make her decisions for her and if you think there's a possibility of some agency swooping in and kicking her out of the field, then you're thinking about saying too much.

By all means, get her groceries. Research options, even making calls while being very ambiguous about details. You don't know if she's been kicked out of any shelters already or assaulted, which is a very real possibility.

Present options once you have them but then let her make her own decisions on who to contact, if anyone.
