Aw! Legion/Leo! I remember both characters, super fun RP and you were always super chill OOC. Nice to see you again!

@TiredEwok You're a saint. I stopped waking my kid up in freshman year. You are a teenager, mazel tov, wake your own ass up. Here, alarm clock. This is how you program it, this is how you set an alarm, this is how you set a backup alarm. Be free, young bird, fly!

I’m looking for the movie, tho.
I think HBO has it. So you can get it through any number of streaming services.

@Kanye-Qwest I hear the sentinels are super nice. Totally not house-wrecking invasive snatch-and-grab murderbots.
@Auspice You can have all the guacamole in the world. I can't eat avocado (texture thing).
See, my texture issues (cause I can get behind that) lie with other stuff. Like cottage cheese. Pudding crust. HOT FRUIT (this is why I can't have pineapple on pizza: you can tell me it's tasty all day long but that also means you enjoy fruit splooge).
My texture thing is horrifyingly restrictive... avocado, mashed potatoes, anything with that mostly smooth but slightly grainy texture... hummus. God I wish I could eat hummus.

Having some stupid quirk that makes cilantro taste like soap, and everyone around me talks about how good it is. And then finding it is in my peanut sauce enough to ruin it. Blech.
You're not alone. I love so many foods that naturally are prepared with cilantro, and it kills me every time to have to order it without. The looks I get from people when I ask if something has cilantro in it... and its messed up, too, because if you say you have an allergy to cilantro, you get sympathy. If you tell them you have a genetic marker than makes cilantro taste like three day old soapy dishwater, you get stared at like you've grown a second head.

A friend was super sweet and sent me a care package which included an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil. I got ProCreate and managed to make an emote for Twitch that doesn't look like a total dumpster fire.
Today is a good day, despite being Monday 2.0.
Hehehe... procreate. /Butthead Moment

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Ganymede I did, actually. I own it. Because I pre-ordered it. Because it was something I'd been waiting literal years to see. And I was disappointed. I don't care that much about the one time Babs and Batman made the beast with two backs and it absolutely wasn't at all necessary to the story. I was pissed that there was more emphasis put on the front half of the movie than the back. They spent more time building up this relationship that wasn't necessary... but the actual HORROR of the Killing Joke was so muted as to be almost non-existent. No, I'm not suggesting graphic photographs of Joker and Babs. But dear God, all that lead up, all that story building... and then eh. It was like 45 minutes of foreplay leading to a one pump chump. I couldn't have been more disappointed. Hamill and Conroy are as excellent as ever, the voice work was great. The animation was fabulous. The story made me want to cry in horrible and unintended ways.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
They did make The Killing Joke. Just not LA. They made it animated... and it was panned. HARD. They even got Mark Hamill to come out of retirement to voice the Joker for it (the ONLY time he ever said he would)... and they still fucked it up. They focused so much on the lead up story, that the storyline itself was relegated to 20 minutes of 'peekaboo' style animation flashing and a bit of action. I'm not surprised people are hesitant to touch that particular story again.

@Saulot Horatio is a great companion for when you want to be the sniper backing up your companion. Cause seriously, I've sent him into an encampment to attack a dude, then just sat back and picked off the other snipers while Horatio took on the camp. Though beware the assholes with mortars, they can knock him out too. Thankfully they take long enough you can just send Horatio towards them when you see the incoming symbol on your screen. He can't always reach them but they sure as Hell won't drop mortars on themselves!

@Alamias There are so, SO many options open. Pretty much anything not currently in play and not on the Banned Concepts list is available!

@Wretched Hey, I still shop at Goodwill. There is NOTHING wrong with secondhand clothes.

RE: RL things I love
@Aria Yeah, I wasn't quite sure if it had been expectations of an actual church wedding/reception that can cost more than a down payment on a really nice house, or just something similar. I just remember you talking about it in thread awhile back and thinking that I was really glad the one time I got married, I told only my mother and we did it in the courthouse, my dress was like $40, I picked up on sale from Macy's.
-
RE: RL things I love
@Ghost I dunno, I think she picked the deceptive hardcore mode. IIRC, the family wanted a big church wedding and reception, hundreds of guests type wedding. So the guilt-tripping is real.

RE: General Video Game Thread
@Insomnia Oh yeah, no, the tests are insane. But just jump in the truck with her after and go take down an outpost, you'll see what I mean. and yeah, I would imagine maybe you're missing your dog a little, and that's okay! No, Horatio won't get in the truck, but he DOES do that 'magical teleport to wherever you're at' thing to make him show up when you reach a destination.

RE: General Video Game Thread
@Insomnia So can Nana, and all her guns are silenced at the first perk. Also, her dialogue is far more amusing.
Edit: Also, if you got the Herk Legacy Pack, you get a vehicle with a machine gun. She'll man it. Makes taking depots easier!
