Just watched the latest Mr. Robot. It might be the best show of the summer.

RE: nWoD Help and Advice Thread
I had a meeting and during that time, @Pyrephox was very helpful with that answer.
Another thing to remember, is that Social Maneuvering, except in the rarest of circumstances, is not a one scene type of encounter. The scale for how often someone can make a Maneuvering attempt ranges from 1 turn to 1 /week/. This is not a system for quick results without some sort of magic mojo.
Further, should PCs be subject to social maneuvering they should and are allowed to present an Alternative Resolution.
Here is my example of how a Social Maneuvering encounter between PCs would go.
Irving Iron Master is the alpha of a local pack. He is desperate to get the aid of Billy Bone Shadow to grant him some help in dealing with a particularly bizarre spirit - Irving wants Billy to grant him access to his occult library.
By default, these guys have Average Impression. Neither PC has met in more than passing. Irving's player has reached out to Billy's player and asked if he would help, Billy's player said "it is not outside of the realm of possibility, let's see if you can convince Billy IC. Irving's player suggests social maneuvering, and they both agree to it.
ICly, Irving reaches out to Billy and they meet at a local tur. Wanting to make things a bit fast, Irving is exceptionally polite and cordial, hosting the meeting during Billy's moon phase. This bumps the impression to Good.
Irving's player states his goal: Gain access to Billy's Library. Billy has 3 Doors - The lower of his Resolve and Composure. The use of his library is not a breaking point, and it is not preventing him from fulfilling an aspiration.
In their first scene, Irving's player rolls Intelligence + Occult in an attempt to describe just how desperate the situation is, and to impress Billy with his base level of knowledge. Irving succeeds and opens 1 Door. With a good impression, Irving must wait a day to try again.
The next day, Irving sends a message to Billy via a spirit to convey his thanks for considering the option, and rolls Presence + Socialize. Irving manages to gain 5 successes, which, as an exceptional, opens 2 doors, which is how many remained.
Now, Billy's player has a choice. He can either grant Billy his goal, or present an alternative. In this case, he does the latter. Since Billy wishes to earn Wisdom, he offers to, instead of sharing his secrets, construct a Fetish to allow Irving to better deal with the spirit. Irving's player agrees, and they move on!

Part of me wants to work on an Angels / Demons game again. Or maybe a game based off of Nalini Singh's GuildHunter series. Look, I just want to play a winged-human (capable of flight). :x
Is Demon the Fallen not to your liking? You could probably also pull this off in Changeling or Mage 2E.
I'd play the shit out of a D:tF game.
Fuck I meant Descent. I am forever fucking that up.

RE: RL things I love
A new offender got transferred to my caseload today, and the first thing he told me is he was jealous of my beard. I established dominance without needing to speak a word.

RE: Comparing and Contrasting the Clans of VTR2
Just an aside, at least the Covenant write-ups in 2nd Ed give examples of how they tend to act when in charge and when NOT in charge.

RE: Coming in 2016 - Bump in the Night
Question for the peanut gallery: How do folks feel about having access to pre-built characters? As in, stats and basic sheet done, with, say, maybe a few points left around for customization? Obviously gender and personality would be left mostly blank.

RE: RL things I love
Tomorrow I should be receiving my new Galaxy S6, and, much more importantly, my Vault Boy poster.

RE: nWoD Games?
In an attempt to answer @TNP's original question, there are at least 2 games opening in January of 2016.

I have given my staffers explicit permission that they are allowed to deal with annoying players via dismissive animated gifs.
You may not like this policy.

RE: Experience Gain in nWoD 2.0 - An analysis and shit
Back to the topic of xp spends I wonder if @Sunny is making the same mistake I did with CoFaB. Namely, being so against the xp bloat and dinosaurs of TR that you overcorrect.

RE: Coming in 2016 - Bump in the Night
Small preview, two new custom Merits
Focused Medium (1 dot)
Prerequisites: Empathy 2, Occult 1
Effect: Your character has a narrower version of the Medium Merit (see Chronicles of Darkness p 57). This Merit applies only to a particular class of Ephemeral Being - Ghost, Spirit or Angel. However, by being so specialized, your character gains the 9-Again quality on improving the relevent condition (Anchor, Resonant or Infrastructure) to Open.
Drawback: As Medium.Stockpile (1-5 dots)
Prerequisite: Requires Safe Place 1+
Effect: Your character has a significant collection of particular type of gear, which is chosen when this merit is purchased. Valid categories are: Firearms, Automobiles, Armor, Melee Weapons, and Equipment. At the start of each Chapter you may freely collect from your Stockpile 1 item with an equipment bonus equal to the level, two at level -1, and three at Level -2. A character may have multiple stockpiles. -
RE: RL Anger
Current Whine: I want to feel pretty. I mean not pretty, but I am feeling down and I wish I was the type of hot where people were like "I want to do things to you sir".
Tinder is a self esteem bitchslap. I feel ugly.

RE: The State of the Chronicles of Darkness
The only change there is Paradox is signing off on them rather than CCP.

@surreality My goal will be to get something going. Once I have a working thingy (technical term), I'll see about how it can be modified and integrated elsewhere. The idea would be to start with WoD, and one game loaded, but expand it out to multiple rule sets, and allow people to create their own custom games. Details on that to be determined!
Down with WoD, up with CofD
