Just to add, if someone's NPC is based on a PC from another game, the only real way for staff to know is to be told or to have had extensive personal knowledge of said PC. I am sure as shit not going to read through every log looking for possible influences in monster personality.

RE: Good TV
Having forgotten the way it treated me towards the end, I am unrealistically hyped for the return of Heroes tomorrow.

RE: How hard should staff enforce theme?
Sabine isn't that bad. She wears Mandalorian armor with a custom paint job and has dyed hair. She's just a teenage dirtbag, baby.
EDIT: The only other teenagers we ever saw in the movies were Luke and Anakin, one was a whiney farmboy and the other was a space creeper. -
RE: Coming in 2016 - Bump in the Night
In regards to BITN and winning. Winning is keeping your loved ones safe. Winning is stopping the horrors out there from taking a life on this block, at least for now. Winning is making a difference and standing up for humanity. Ridding the world of BITN of the supernatural is simply not possible. The monsters don't present a unified front, there is no direct war to fight. There is only survival and trying your best to make the world a little better.

Someone make a damn CofD/Storytelling 2 game worth playing, kthx
Seriously guys. It has been nearly a year since Hitler told you the code is out there! I know of at least 2 coders on MSB personally who can help a complete idiot (me) get a game up and going (@Thenomain and @Cobaltasaurus). I know of a handful of people who will almost always help and consult (@Coin first among them). And yet, let's see what is out there.
- Echoes in time - Invite only, possibly forever. Also has the worst bits of 1E as holdovers
- Reboot for Kingsmouth - This may or may not happen, but no one with a day job can actually manage such a game
- Reno - Maybe they will get some traction, maybe not
- Bump in the Night - I can't play a cool guy vampire there, so what's the point
- Dust to Dust - This could be the one, but I think @sunny is lost in Kushiel's whatsit
- @RDC's hypothetical New Orleans based game I just heard of? Pass.
- That game that ripped off Eldritch's theme material word for word? Pass.
- @ES's mage game? Probably going to be dope, but again, weird hybrid stuff. Also not close to opening due to a lack of mage
So what is a comMUnity to do? Are we just gonna sit around with our hands down our pants? Is anything else in development, and if not, why the fuck not?

RE: Commissioning Character Art
I am not an artist but I used to check Elfwood out for kickass shadow run art circa 1999-2000

RE: Trying Something Completely New
This is coming from a place of not knowing jack about the FC setting, so it will be vague.
The core story of Promethean is the Pilgrimage. You need to focus on that. And while in a more traditional game, the Pilgrimage covers a geographical trek, you may have certain Milestones that are required and you may want to have a way ahead of time for them to be met.
To keep the Prometheans interesting:
- Let them reach the end of their road. I cannot read Promethean often enough to remember all the terms because it makes me sad, but you should allow the newly Human prometheans to remain as PCs. This makes the Promethean intriguing to other supers who cannot escape their fate.
- Use other Supernaturals as possible ways to learn about humanity. Allow the Refinement of Quicksilver especially.
- Tie them to their Humanity. The Created are at once the most and least monstrous of all Supernaturals.Their behavior should be alien to most, but also eerily familiar.
- Let them be badasses as they are able to be truly hardcore. Especially in the inferior 1st Edition of CofD, a Promethean can slug it out with a Kuruthing Uratha without much effort.
- Allow as much crossover opportunity as a player wants, but don't force it. Ulgans can see spirits (and, IIRC, ghosts). Maybe the Quashilliman (sp) have ties to the Aether, and who knows how Azothic Items and relics interact, etc. Also, maybe steal the idea that a "dead" promethean has to traverse the underworld.

RE: Make us love your favorite game
I don't have time to rant about them right now, as I already made an EFFORT POST about Promethean, but I second Manu's love for Exalted, as well as suggest Shadowrun.
A pair of games people may not know so well that are getting new editions "soon"
Scion is a game about Mythology and the modern world. Scion lets you play the children of Gods from various historic Pantheons. At its base power level, it is mildly superhuman, maybe around the level of Xena: Warrior Princess. As the game released new supplements, they increased the power level to be more and more mythical, to the level of juggling battleships and smiting continents.
Trinity Continuum was a trio of games from White Wolf in the late 1990s. They cover three time periods and different settings and genres that are linked in being a single universe, told in reverse. It starts with Trinity, a Science-Fiction game of action and intrigue in the 22nd century where you play a Psion, specifically created psychics with the power to protect the human race from themselves, hostile aliens, and worst of all, the Aberrants. Aberrant is set in the dawn of the 21st century, and is a gritty take on superhumans. It is a game of hope and godlike power with a dark side of taint, the saviors of this era become the monsters of the next. Adventure! is set in the 1920s, and is the first birth of extraordinary individuals. It is Pulp action, globe trotting excitement.

If I am playing Superhero in an established world I enjoy being an FC.

RE: Bump In The Night: A Chronicles of Darkness MUX
@Warma-Sheen The trick is to set a date once you know it can be met. When I initially started, I wanted to have research done by end of January. Then we got ahead of schedule, and I was like "Maybe by April" but then it became clear we could make it sooner, so I said it then.

It should not be pushing 80 degrees in November in the mid Atlantic.

RE: Fallcoast
I don't know if you are allowed to still call it WoD or not, @Sonder. BEWARE THE WHITE WOLF LEGAL TEAM!

So I thiught, "Oh, I'll just turn on Jessica Jones while getting some work done."
Two episodes in, I gave up and binge watched the rest on the couch while cuddling with the dog until 4am.
Damnit Netflix.
Purple Man made you do it.
